    Fantastic service, awesome time

I had a surprise birthday trip planned for my wife’s milestone birthday for us to visit both San Francisco and Napa and enjoy 4 days of fun, relaxation and good food/service. I am extremely happy that for our private Napa tour we have gone with Cardinal Transportation. From day 1, Vadim and his office staff were extremely helpful and responsive to all my requests and questions. They had helped me picked some awesome options and provided great insight on which wineries to pick both from type of wine/ambience and amount of crowd perspective. They also went above and beyond to meet my request to have some flowers and birthday card ready in the car as soon as my wife opened the door- again fantastic service and communication. On the day of the trip our driver Dean was just so awesome as well. Very knowledgeable, professional and friendly he was a perfect driver that made us feel welcome and relaxed and helped us enjoy our tour 100%-well done Dean. All in all we would go with Cardinal Transportation services any day and for our future San Fran and Napa trips we know whom we are calling for 5 star service with no hesitation. Note- I have read multiple reviews from others on not being clear on the cost of wine tastings or not getting responses back etc.and I have respect for everybody’s experience but at least for us it was crystal clear that the booking/cost of wine tastings were separate and on us and as mentioned Vadim and his team were very responsive- my recommendation is to read the e-mails you get from Cardinal carefully and e-mail/call them if you have questions/requests.

    Napa Sonoma Valley

We chose to have a SUV with a private driver. We were so lucky to have LONNIE as our private chauffeur. He was very knowledgeable and super friendly, good driver and knew areas of San Fransisco surroundings and The Napa Sonoma Valley and wineries.

    Poor Communication

Communication was very poor and we weren't sure the driver was even going to show up on the morning of the tour because of this. I also had $90 USD put on my credit card after the tour that I asked the provider what this was for and have not received a response. Do not fill in the DocuSign document sent to you from Cardinal as this is how they can put $90 on your credit card. I would strongly recommend you do not use Cardinal Transportation for any tours.

Response from the operator: All of our terms are stated on Viator / TripAdvisor under exclusions/inclusions. $90 reflects standard gratuity as it stated in our email correspondence and all listings on all platforms. You gave $0 in tips to driver, for 8-9hrs of driving your group in Wine Country, including numerous stops on the way, i.e. Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito, Marin Headlands, etc. Plus, he curated and chose wineries for you to visit, based on your preferences, providing many insights and recommendations. We have exchanged over 7 emails, and provided you with pick up location , since you've arrived / stayed on the boat at Pier 39, which is very general location. Our drivers can not dial international numbers , however you've been provided with instructions on meeting point and time , where you've been picked up as scheduled. Please be very careful leaving negative review, as we take it seriously all attempts to blame us for your own negligence as client.

    Napa wine tasting

We have a great time on this wine tour. Our driver,Dean, picked us up on time and showed us all the interesting spots on our trip to Napa. He showed us the best spot for picture of the Golden Gate Bridge and we toasted the start of our trip! We continued on the scenic route to Napa with Dean informing us of all the wineries we were passing and of course the ones that we were headed to. After our 2nd stop we changed things up a bit and he was very helpful with making accommodations for our change. We would definitely recommend him and use him again as the day was perfect. Thank you for such a great day!

8hr-Private Wine Tour from SF & 1/2 Case of Californian wine.: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Francisco.

How much does 8hr-Private Wine Tour from SF & 1/2 Case of Californian wine. cost?

    +

Prices start at $799 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Francisco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 8hr-Private Wine Tour from SF & 1/2 Case of Californian wine. take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Francisco is not rushed.

Is 8hr-Private Wine Tour from SF & 1/2 Case of Californian wine. worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 45 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in San Francisco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 8hr-Private Wine Tour from SF & 1/2 Case of Californian wine.?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 8hr-Private Wine Tour from SF & 1/2 Case of Californian wine. suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 8hr-Private Wine Tour from SF & 1/2 Case of Californian wine.?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Francisco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Francisco and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 8hr-Private Wine Tour from SF & 1/2 Case of Californian wine. start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Francisco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in San Francisco?

    +

San Francisco packs Alcatraz, Muir Woods, Napa and the bay into day-trip range, which makes booking order matter more than anywhere else in the US. Alcatraz sells out weeks ahead, wine-country vans fill on weekends, and the best food walks in the Mission and Chinatown cap at a dozen people. Our ranking favours small groups and guides who live in the neighbourhood they walk. On Outty we rank every San Francisco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group Yosemite and Giant Sequoias Day Trip from San Francisco, Golden Gate Bridge Muir Woods Sausalito with Optional Alcatraz, Chinatown, North Beach, Little Italy: 7 Tastings & History. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit San Francisco?

    +

September and October, the city's real summer, once the fog season breaks. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in San Francisco?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
