Absolutely Incredible.
Absolutely unbelievable. You will spend the whole night saying "How did he do that?" At the show I went to ight, it was a small crowd, and everyone was no more than ten feet from Jay, yet no one had any clue as to how he could do his act. I attended a tiny college in Illinois (100 students) that closed many years ago. He had me stand up, thought about it for a minute, then named my college. He gave my brother's partner four books and told her to open any book to any page. She was in the audience, he was on stage. When she settled on a book and a page (after making sure there was nothing odd about the book, just a regular book), he proceeded to recite the first line of the page she was looking at. On and on, with tricks or magic that was totally inexplicable even though you were just a few feet away from him, watching everything he did. I have seen him perform about a half dozen times, and still do not have a clue how he does it. I guaraee you will NOT be disappointed. Truly an amazing performance.

Don’t miss it!
This is the second time I’ve seen Jay perform, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. I live in Chicago and, having seen him once before, didn’t want to miss him on my current short trip to SF. He’s flat-out amazing, not to mention funny and immensely personable. I can’t imagine anyone who wouldn’t be wowed by his performance.

Best Show in San Francisco!
Jay Alexander puts on an absolutely incredible show! What really makes it stand out is how personal and interactive the entire experience feels. He talks directly with the audience, gets everyone involved, and makes you feel like you’re part of the show rather than just watching it. He’s genuinely funny, entertaining, and his mind tricks will leave you wondering how in the world he pulled them off. The combination of comedy, audience interaction, and unbelievable mentalism makes for an awesome night. If you’re visiting San Francisco or looking for something different to do, this is a must-see. Hands down one of the best shows in San Francisco! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — Highly recommend!

Mind blowing show!
Awesome experience for our group of 10. He selected so many of us to be included in his magic acts. Our whole friend group left puzzled and perplexed but so impressed by Jay. Highly recommend the show if you want to have your mind blown!

Why this scores 81
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
A Magical Night with the San Francisco Mentalist: Jay Alexander: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Francisco.
How much does A Magical Night with the San Francisco Mentalist: Jay Alexander cost?
+
Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Francisco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does A Magical Night with the San Francisco Mentalist: Jay Alexander take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Francisco is not rushed.
Is A Magical Night with the San Francisco Mentalist: Jay Alexander worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 437 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in San Francisco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule A Magical Night with the San Francisco Mentalist: Jay Alexander?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is A Magical Night with the San Francisco Mentalist: Jay Alexander suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book A Magical Night with the San Francisco Mentalist: Jay Alexander?
+
Around 153 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Francisco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Francisco and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does A Magical Night with the San Francisco Mentalist: Jay Alexander start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Francisco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in San Francisco?
+
San Francisco packs Alcatraz, Muir Woods, Napa and the bay into day-trip range, which makes booking order matter more than anywhere else in the US. Alcatraz sells out weeks ahead, wine-country vans fill on weekends, and the best food walks in the Mission and Chinatown cap at a dozen people. Our ranking favours small groups and guides who live in the neighbourhood they walk. On Outty we rank every San Francisco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group Yosemite and Giant Sequoias Day Trip from San Francisco, Golden Gate Bridge Muir Woods Sausalito with Optional Alcatraz, Chinatown, North Beach, Little Italy: 7 Tastings & History. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit San Francisco?
+
September and October, the city's real summer, once the fog season breaks. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in San Francisco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
