    Breathtaking Trek with TrekGeorgia

Our family of 4 (parents in 50s and kids in 20s) just completed the 8 day (6 days of hiking) TrekGeorgia guided trip in the Svaneti region and recommend it with enthusiasm and without reservation. The trip is very well-organized and the logistics were seamless; the guesthouses were clean with warm showers and hardy local food;; scenery and hiking to rival the Alps (and at a fraction of the cost with a fraction of the people); and a friendly, knowledgeable, experienced guide who put our safety first. Our group of 9 (from US, Russia, Germany, UK, aged 19-60) bonded as well. You do not need technical skills, but you need to be in decent shape and willing to hike 4 to 9 hours a day, including steep stretches. An exceptional experience in unspoiled natural beauty with a top rate organization.

    It's a 10 out of 10

I’d like to share my experience after joining two tours organized by TreKGeorgia Travel Tours (September-25). I really appreciated the great organization and professionalism on both trips. The guides were fantastic—attentive to every detail and caring about everyone’s well-being. I especially noticed their punctuality and how well they knew the area, which made our routes safe and full of cultural and scenic highlights. The places we stayed at were just right for the kind of adventure we wanted—offering a good mix of comfort and local authenticity that made the experience even better. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend TrekGeorgia to anyone wanting to explore Georgia with a reliable and dedicated team. Thanks a lot for your attention and effort. I’ll be back for sure because Georgia is a beautiful country I want to keep exploring.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful feedback! 🌿 You were the best hiker, and we’re truly happy to hear that you enjoyed both Svaneti and Kazbegi tours and appreciated the organization, guiding, and authentic experiences we aim to offer. An amazing trek to experience a unique corner of Georgia

This was a great trip. Very well organised from the word go: all prior emails were answered promptly, & everything was clear. The accommodation was simple but good, (but don't always expect hot water). The food was very good, & always plentiful. Our guides were brilliant: led at a good pace for everyone. Nice amiable guys, too. The walk itself is stunning. It has become a popular trek. There will be lots of other hikers: but not overcrowded like much of Europe. Go there SOON. (Trek Georgia is a local company. It's good to support" local".)

    Spectacular Svaneti

This trekking tour was a beautiful experience. The two guides, Nugo and Gogi led us along the route with care, attention, and beautiful stories of the landscape, culture and people. It was special to be walking alongside the most beautiful wildflowers and witnessing the spectacular views of the jagged mountains. The guesthouses were comfortable and provided us with an abundance of delicious home cooked meals. Thank you for this experience. I am so grateful I came to Georgia!

8-Day Trekking Group Tour in Svaneti: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tbilisi.

How much does 8-Day Trekking Group Tour in Svaneti cost?

    +

Prices start at $1340 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tbilisi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 8-Day Trekking Group Tour in Svaneti take?

    +

Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tbilisi is not rushed.

Is 8-Day Trekking Group Tour in Svaneti worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Tbilisi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 8-Day Trekking Group Tour in Svaneti?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 8-Day Trekking Group Tour in Svaneti suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 192-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 8-Day Trekking Group Tour in Svaneti?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tbilisi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tbilisi and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 8-Day Trekking Group Tour in Svaneti start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tbilisi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tbilisi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tbilisi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tbilisi:Evening Walking & Talking Tour with Wine & Boat Ride, Kakheti Wine Region Tour + 10 Premium Wine Tastings & Sunset, Tbilisi:Mtskheta,Jvari,Bazaar, wine tasting,Chronicles of Georgia. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tbilisi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tbilisi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
