Drivers Can Make or Break the Experience
Overall, the trip was a great experience, especially for the opportunity to see the animals and enjoy the nice hotels I had booked. However, the quality of the experience really depends on the driver you are assigned. The “join group” trips are a mix of people from different agents who are then sent to a car company, and the driver makes a big difference. Unfortunately, this can sometimes lead to wasted time, such as changing drivers or dealing with inexperienced ones. On one occasion, we arrived at the hotel around 10 p.m., leaving no time to enjoy the property. My first driver was excellent—he had 14 years of experience, knew the routes well, and made the journey smooth and enjoyable. In contrast, my second driver was unprofessional and inexperienced. He got lost several times, stopped to help others on the road, and even caused two flat tires. At one point, he failed to instruct passengers to stay in the car while he was changing the tire, which resulted in a fine from the park manager. Instead of handling the situation calmly, he became upset and yelled at the passengers. If possible, I would strongly recommend arranging a private car and driver instead of relying on the group system. This would save valuable time and likely provide a more reliable and enjoyable experience.
Response from the operator: Thank You for Choosing to Book Your Safari With Us and delighted to hear that the tour meet your expectations and you had a great time. As indicated on the Group Joining Guide shared with you by our team, there are many dynamics involved in the Group Tours and we strive to ensure that the overall client experience isn't affected. That said it does not mean that the Guide should be unprofessional at all or the service should be compromised. We apologize for the guides bad behavior. As a result of having Several Complains when using Guides from Our Partner Company, we have decided to strictly use Our Company Vehicles and Guides and Come up with a minimum number for the tour to operate. This will ensure that Our Groups go to the same hotels, have a single guide throughout the experience and reduce the mishaps that arise in having multi clients with different itineraries. We look forward to hosting you on the next tour.

8-Day Kenya Group Joining Safari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.
How much does 8-Day Kenya Group Joining Safari cost?
+
Prices start at $3080 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 8-Day Kenya Group Joining Safari take?
+
Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.
Is 8-Day Kenya Group Joining Safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 8-Day Kenya Group Joining Safari?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 8-Day Kenya Group Joining Safari suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 11. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 192-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 8-Day Kenya Group Joining Safari?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 8-Day Kenya Group Joining Safari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nairobi?
+
On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 days group joining safari to Maasai Mara with a Land Cruiser Jeep, 1 Day trip to Hells Gate and optional Lake Naivasha From Nairobi, Nairobi Masai village Day Tour Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nairobi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nairobi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
