Wonderful trip
Booked the 8 day classic around Taiwan tour on-line without issues. Received e-mail confirmation promptly at the time asking about the type of bed arrangement desired. Received e-mail with pick-up time as well as guide/driver's name and mobile phone number a day or so before the start of the tour. The Toyota RAV 4 was well air-conditioned and clean. The tour itinerary was excellent (although some outdoor activities don't make sense in the hot, humid tropical/sub-tropical summer). The lodgings were great, although the breakfast buffets varied from extravagant (Sheraton Taitung) to basic (at Alishan). Our tour guide/driver, Steven Chang, was excellent. He was a safe driver (especially in the fog and mist), with an excellent fund of knowledge and good English conversational abilities. He was attentive, considerate, and helpful, altering the itinerary based on weather and physical limitations. He would make photographic stops along the way and guide us through various Night Markets and hikes. He would choose appropriate places for us to eat lunch based on our interests and tastes. Had a wonderful time on a very cost-effective trip. Would recommend the company and especially Steven Chang very highly.

Amazing Experience in Friendly Magical Taiwan
Hao Kai Yang(Kai) was the best tour guide we ever had! (and we travel/tour regularly). I think he’s the biggest reason why this country seemed so magical to us. He seemed to know which questions to ask until he thought of the best plan. We are a needy group since the ages of our group of 6 ranged from ages 8-60, but he handled everything with such grace and patience, and always with a warm smile. He also provided such helpful and interesting information that made us see Taiwan and the Taiwanese people with a new intrigue. I really believe Taiwan is an underrated destination-this trip was above and beyond our best expectations! I think I’ve caught Taiwan fever-I’m in love with the country and people and can’t wait to come back!

This is the way to see Taiwan!
We went on an 8 day family #customized #tour with MyTaiwanTour in December 2018, visiting all the major sights, and plenty of others. Our driver/guide Steven was extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and flexible, and took us to some fabulous local places for lunch. Nothing was too much trouble, which was lucky because we asked for a few diversions ☺. The vehicle was new and comfortable, easily accommodating our group of 5 and luggage (and Steven played a great range of music each day!) Arranging the trip by email with JieRu was easy, with changes made quickly and without fuss. We thoroughly recommend MyTaiwanTour for any visit to Taiwan.

Why this scores 49
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
8-Day Around Taiwan Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Taipei.
How much does 8-Day Around Taiwan Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $4500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Taipei usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 8-Day Around Taiwan Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Taipei is not rushed.
Is 8-Day Around Taiwan Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Taipei, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 8-Day Around Taiwan Private Tour?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 8-Day Around Taiwan Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 192-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 8-Day Around Taiwan Private Tour?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Taipei can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Taipei and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 8-Day Around Taiwan Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Taipei within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Taipei?
+
On Outty we rank every Taipei experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Private Custom Taipei City Tour, Private Tour to Jiufen, Yehliu Geopark, and Pingxi, Full-Day Private Northern Taiwan Tour from Taipei with Pickup. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Taipei?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Taipei?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
