Very good experience in general Reuben is a very good guide and has the best taste in taking photos

Avoid Liar John, the rest are good
Our trip in Kenya at 8 days. First three days we went to Amboseli, the guide is Reuben. He was really great, actively looking for animals and finding locations to take photos for us. Then we went to Masai Mara , the guide change to John and our nightmare started. John is totally a lier. He wanna deceived us for additional $400 Maasai Mara park fee. We called Dume’s boss-Henry to check there was no extra fee, then John started felt angry and maliciously shortening the Safari time and treat us very bad like verbal threats and provocations and rejected any service like pulling up the Safari car roof, taking our luggages and so on. John never actively searches for animals during safaris (he doesn't even have his own binoculars). He told us to searched the animals by ourselves. He simply drives around, and only finds animals by following the group of parked safari vehicles. On our way back to Nairobi from Naivasha, John, without prior notice, took a stranger (John claimed to be his wife) into our safari vehicles and brought her back to Nairobi. We talked to Henry twice to report John's malicious actions. Henry repeatedly insisting that John was "his friend and a good person" and simply saying he would discuss the matter with John. So we simply requested that John behave in a normal so that we could complete the rest of our trip smoothly. But still disappointed us, he still not change. After the trips, Henry finally called us and we repeatly told him about John's bad behavior from the first day. He finally apologized to us and treated us a lunch to make amends. When we got back home, Henry called me again, saying that Dume have two John. And he already fired this lier John. So be careful, maybe he will go to another safari company. (The photo is lier John) Except for John, Reuben and Naivasha Hill‘s gate bicycle guide Sammy (He had his own planned path which is very beautiful and he took really good care of us) are great! All stars were given to them but John minus all the stars.

The best trip with the best guide!
I cannot recommend Dume Africa Trails highly enough. Henry was kind, professional, met our every need, and was so kind and generous. He anticipated our every need, and seemed to anticipate the direction the animals would move and make sure we had the best view. The choice of accommodations, tours, and even the stops along the way were perfect. Our family felt so safe and secure with Henry as our guide. I give him 10/10 and then some. Book your tour with Duke Africa Trails and have the experience of a lifetime with an extraordinary guide and gentleman.

An unforgettable experience!
how beautiful it was. I was lucky enough to make a very nice trip through Kenya with my father and brother. During our trip we were guided by our guide Henry in a hospitable and especially pleasant manner. This was the second year in a row because we also went out with Henry in the summer of 2022, and this was just as fun and perhaps even more fun. We had a very nice trip with Dume Africa Trails Limited, saw the big 5 and above all had very nice days. from Nairobi up through various nature parks looking for the rhino, we also visited an authentic Masaai family which was very impressive. Henry guided us through every step of our journey, from the time we were picked up until he dropped us off again. the hotels, activities and meals were arranged down to the last detail and that gave us a good feeling. Besides Henry being our tour guide, he was certainly an important factor in our trip. In addition to beautiful evenings, he also taught us a lot about the country and the culture. I can say that I learned a lot about Kenya besides the nature and the animals. All in all, it was an unforgettable trip that was fantastically organized, so I would recommend it to everyone. make your dreams come true and hit the road with Dume Africa Trails Limited!!!

Excellent safari experience
We went to the four most famous national parks, and the most fun one was Masai Mara. Our driver Henry was very professional and humorous. He always took us to find different animals and patiently explained the habits of each animal. We learned a lot of knowledge! The hotel they arranged for us was also very comfortable and had good supporting facilities. It was a wonderful experience to have such an experience in Africa. I will look for Henry again next time!

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
7 Days Special Kenya safari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.
How much does 7 Days Special Kenya safari cost?
+
Prices start at $2331 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 7 Days Special Kenya safari take?
+
Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.
Is 7 Days Special Kenya safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 7 Days Special Kenya safari?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 7 Days Special Kenya safari suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 168-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 7 Days Special Kenya safari?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 7 Days Special Kenya safari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nairobi?
+
On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 days group joining safari to Maasai Mara with a Land Cruiser Jeep, 1 Day trip to Hells Gate and optional Lake Naivasha From Nairobi, Nairobi Masai village Day Tour Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nairobi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nairobi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
