An unforgettable seven-day trip that far exceeded our expectations.

The cozy Sighisoara, the overwhelming nature along the Transfagarasan road with the bears as icing on the cake, the rich history, we couldn't get enough of it. We stayed in good hotels that were centrally located so that we could explore or take a walk in the evening. We experienced Transylvania as a beautiful and versatile country with an honest, polite, accommodating, calm and respectful population. The most important link in this adventure was of course the guide, Nicolas, a professional, punctual and passionate guide who gives more than you expect.

Response from the operator: Dear, Ilse and Ann! Thanks for leaving us such a wonderful review! It was really a pleasure to be your tour guide in Romania. I felt like I was in holiday like you and Ann did :) You are a great family and easy to work with, so easy that I will mention again: I felt like I was in holiday! We are thrilled that you loved your experience. Thanks for your kind words and you are welcome any time to reach me again! See you next time when you come back to Romania! Best Regards, Nicolas

    First time in Romenia

It was a very nice trip of six days, lots of variety between history, nature, culture, food, drinks and so much more! It is a nice way to explore the country, Romania. Walking up to beautiful buildings and enjoying the peace and quiet... great! It tastes like more... Nicolas, the guide gave the confidence and finished this trip. Looking at the surroundings, horizon, mountains, houses, ... was a nice change during the car rides. A nice introduction to Romania.

    A Week to Remember

It was a week to remember! Our guide, Andrei did his best and please us the whole week! We are a family of 3 romanians returned from Canada and we needed a history lesson plus to see the best places in Romania such as Brasov, Sibiu, Cluj Napoca and Bucharest (of course). Thank you also to Nicolas because he organised a great tour and booked for us very nice hotels!

Response from the operator: Dear, Madalina! Thanks for leaving us such a wonderful review! We are thrilled that you loved your experience. We put customer experience and satisfaction as our priority, and your review reaffirms the hard work we put in every day! Thanks for your kind words and you are welcome any time to reach us again! Best Regards! Nicolas

    Top one in Bukarest

Hello, I first wanted to say that Nicolas is the best man and friend in Bucharest who can be trusted 1000%. We spent a whole week with him, it is simply a revelation, he served us exceptionally from being picked up from the airport to showing everything that can be seen in Bucharest. I recommend Nicolas and no one else, the right man in the right place. Seb from Miami

Response from the operator: Dear, Sebastian, from Miami 😀! I also had a very good tine with you and it was a pleasure to meet you! Thank you so much for your review and thank you for being our loyal customer! See you soon for a new adventure! Best Regards, Nicolas

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bucharest.

How much does 7 Days Private Guided Tour in Romania from Bucharest cost?

    +

Prices start at $786 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bucharest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 7 Days Private Guided Tour in Romania from Bucharest take?

    +

Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bucharest is not rushed.

Is 7 Days Private Guided Tour in Romania from Bucharest worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bucharest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 7 Days Private Guided Tour in Romania from Bucharest?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 7 Days Private Guided Tour in Romania from Bucharest suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 168-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 7 Days Private Guided Tour in Romania from Bucharest?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bucharest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bucharest and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 7 Days Private Guided Tour in Romania from Bucharest start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bucharest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bucharest?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bucharest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Real tour of Communism, Bucharest Highlights Walking Tour, Top Gear Road, Small-group max 7 pax with Pick-up, Transfăgărăşan. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bucharest?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bucharest?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
