    Can’t recommend enough!!!

This trip was fantastic. I was nervous for various reasons but right from when we landed, Chameleon had everything covered. Most of the accommodation was fantastic and the same for the food. I requested vegetarian and the company ensured I had plenty to eat every day. The food was varied, plentiful and good quality. The activities were brilliant - beautiful wildlife and scenery. A once in a lifetime experience. Final shout out to our superb guide Gideon who kept us safe, comfortable and well informed for the week.

Response from the operator: Hi Caitlin, Thank you for this generous review. We are so glad the 7 Day Taste of Namibia felt covered from the moment you landed, especially as you arrived a little nervous. It is wonderful that the lodges, the wildlife, and the scenery all came through so strongly. A special thank you for the note about the vegetarian meals. We are pleased they were varied, plentiful, and good quality each day. Gideon will be very happy to read your shout-out. Keeping the group safe, comfortable, and well informed is exactly what we ask of him, and it means a great deal that he made the week feel that way. Thank you for travelling with Chameleon Safaris. Kind regards, Gavin

    Wonderful trip!

The trip was amazing! Our guide, Simon, was outstanding. He was very punctual and kept everyone moving, but allowed sufficient time at all the stops. He also made everyone feel included in the group. The price was quite reasonable considering all the accommodations, food, and travel expenses. Each of the stops was spectacular in its own way. Overall a very memorable trip which I will cherish forever!

Response from the operator: Hi Stephen, Thank you for your wonderful review. We are so glad the 7 Day Taste of Namibia was a trip you will keep, and that the stops, the lodging, and the value all felt right. Simon will be delighted to hear this. It is great that he kept the group on time, still left enough space at each place, and made everyone feel included. That balance is exactly what we want guests to remember from this route. Thank you for travelling with Chameleon Safaris. Kind regards, Gavin

Great taste of what Namibia is all about!

The 7 day Taste of Namibia lodging tour was an incredible experience from beginning to end! Booking was handled flawlessly by Ingrid. Pickup at the airport and delivery to Chameleon Backpackers Lodge was seamless, and we got to know some of our group of 12 before we ever left Windhoek. The absolute crown jewel of the trip was our guide, Simon. Our group became more than just a tour, it was like family. Simon kept us all on track and on time, amused us and taught us with his stories, and generally made sure we were all well taken care of. Everything we experienced (N/a'an ku sê Wildlife Sanctuary, Etosha, Swakopmund, Sossusvlei, Sesriem Canyon, visits to the Herero and Himba people…) would have been fantastic to visit even on our own, but Simon turned it into a magical experience by making sure we understood the history and meaning of what we saw. He also introduced us to the “African Massage” and bush toilets 😂. He provided wonderful discussions at all our meals. Oh, and he is the Elephant Whisperer, if you are looking to see elephants! He was truly a pleasure to be around, always smiling and cheerful, and anyone considering this trip should absolutely ask for Simon!! This whole trip was a great value for the money.

Response from the operator: Warm greetings from Chameleon Safaris, Thank you for this generous review. We are so pleased the Taste of Namibia felt strong from Ingrid’s booking through to the last day. Ingrid will appreciate your words about the arrangements and the airport transfer. Simon will be especially happy. It means a great deal that he helped the group of 12 feel like family, kept the days on track, and brought the history and meaning of each place to life. Thank you for recommending him so warmly, and for travelling with Chameleon Safaris. Kind regards, Gavin

7 Day Taste of Namibia Lodging Safari: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Windhoek.

How much does 7 Day Taste of Namibia Lodging Safari cost?

    +

Prices start at $2997 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Windhoek usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 7 Day Taste of Namibia Lodging Safari take?

    +

Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Windhoek is not rushed.

Is 7 Day Taste of Namibia Lodging Safari worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Windhoek, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 7 Day Taste of Namibia Lodging Safari?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 7 Day Taste of Namibia Lodging Safari suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 168-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 7 Day Taste of Namibia Lodging Safari?

    +

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Windhoek can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Windhoek and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 7 Day Taste of Namibia Lodging Safari start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Windhoek within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Windhoek?

    +

On Outty we rank every Windhoek experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Windhoek City Tour, Windhoek Historical City Tour Plus Township Tour !, Half-Day Windhoek City and Township Cultural Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Windhoek?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Windhoek?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
