    An Amazing Experience in Ghana!

We traveled with Timeh Tours in June 2025 and had a wonderful time. We traveled for 9 days and visited 4 cities across Ghana. Jojo, our driver and guide was very prompt with airport pick up and met us at our hotel on time each morning. Each day was full was culturally enriching activities and I left feeling like I learned about about Ghana, its people, history, and culture. I would highly recommend the cultural experience tour with Timeh Tours if you’re traveling to Ghana!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much Chrysantha for taking the time to share this! We’re really glad to hear you had a great experience during your 9-day journey with us across Ghana. It means a lot to know that the cultural activities made a strong impression and gave you and your parents a deeper connection to Ghana’s history and people. That’s exactly what we aim for. Jojo will be happy to hear your kind words—he takes a lot of pride in being reliable and helping guests feel at home. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back someday—there’s always more to discover in Ghana!

    10/10- Best Trip Ever!

It's actually taken me a while to write this review because I don't know if I can convey just how much I loved this trip and working with Timeh Tours. It was unbelievable and life-changing- the only regret I have is that I didn't invite more people to come with me! I had planned a trip with a different, US-based tour company two years ago, and a week before the trip they cancelled. I had to scramble and reached out to Timeh Tours. They immediately got back to me (even with the time difference!) and had created a custom trip for us. The team communicated with me every step of the way, and even gave me different hotel options (I'm a little boujee LOL). The itinerary had even MORE than the first trip we planned and cost less. Jojo was our tour guide and he was AMAZING. Instantly treated us like family, was knowledgable, friendly, and really catered to us. Can I just say how awesome it was to have a private guide AND a private driver? We were able to take our time and really enjoy all Timeh Tours had planned. The trip was the perfect mix of history, culture, and more. While we spent time seeing and understanding the devastation of the slave trade and colonization, we also got to experience the rich, unique Ghanian culture and heritage. I learned so much and am going to hold these lessons in my heart for the rest of my life. I really cannot express just how much I appreciate and recommend Timeh Tours!

Response from the operator: Reading your review left all of us speechless — and deeply touched. Thank you, truly, from the bottom of our hearts. It means the world to us that what started as a last-minute change turned into a life-changing journey for you. We remember those early messages and late-night time zone emails like it was yesterday — and we're so glad you chose to trust us. Ivy and the planning team loved working with you, and Jojo hasn’t stopped talking about how much he enjoyed guiding you — from the history to the laughs, and everything in between. Your words about Ghana’s history, culture, and people mean so much. We believe in offering not just a tour, but an experience that stays with you — and knowing that you’ll carry these lessons in your heart is the highest compliment we could ever receive. We only wish more of your friends had come with you too — but don’t worry, we’ll be ready for the whole crew next time 😉. Thank you for recommending us so genuinely. You’ve become part of the Timeh Tours family, and we can’t wait to welcome you back — to Ghana, Togo, Benin, or wherever your heart leads you. With deep gratitude, — Ivy, Jojo, and the entire Timeh Tours Team 🇬🇭

    Empowered, Powerful & Joyful

When we met our tour guide, Timothy Dadgie at the airport in Accra, our tour began immediately and continued until he returned us to the airport for our departure home on Oct, 11th. He always made us feel right at home, accommodating us always with a smile. His knowledge of the amazing/powerful historical sites, local activities such as shopping and bartering at the markets, selection of local meals and enjoying some night life was “spot on”!! And I can’t forget the beautiful beach!! I am so very fortunate to have had this opportunity to visit/tour “HOME” and the memory is embedded in my mind, heart and soul forever. Thank you Timeh Tours and Timothy D. for my opportunity if “Coming Home”!! P.S. I’ll be back!

Response from the operator: We thank you for allowing us create such an unforgettable experience, bringing Ghana to life for you! The personal touch, historical insights, and local immersion can indeed leave a lasting impact. It's wonderful to hear that your journey felt like coming home. Planning to return is the best testament to a great travel experience! Anything specific you're looking forward to on your next visit?

7-Day Private Cultural and Heritage Tour in Ghana: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Accra.

How much does 7-Day Private Cultural and Heritage Tour in Ghana cost?

    +

Prices start at $2,299 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Accra usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 7-Day Private Cultural and Heritage Tour in Ghana take?

    +

Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Accra is not rushed.

Is 7-Day Private Cultural and Heritage Tour in Ghana worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Accra, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 7-Day Private Cultural and Heritage Tour in Ghana?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 7-Day Private Cultural and Heritage Tour in Ghana suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 168-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 7-Day Private Cultural and Heritage Tour in Ghana?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Accra can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Accra and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 7-Day Private Cultural and Heritage Tour in Ghana start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Accra within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Accra?

    +

On Outty we rank every Accra experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Experience the Beauty, History and the Culture Of Accra in a Day, Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle & Kakum National Park Day Tour, Accra Guided City Tour: Cultural and Historical Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Accra?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Accra?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
