Look no further. Himalayan social journey has something for everyone and to suit all ages and budgets..a fantastic tim
I booked my tour of Nepal from the UK. It was seamless and I was collected from the airport and a quick transfer to the hotel. The tour was amazing, spending time in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Sarangkot before returning to Kathmandu for my last night. As I was travelling solo, I was able to join other groups for city tours and some transfers. The guides were incredible people, very knowledgeable, good communicators and excellent advocates for Nepal. The company arranged a tourist bus - sofa seats and very comfy, to drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara and just under 8 hours with toilet and food stops. If you have the time, you must make this trip, it has more thrills than a theme park and a fantastic opportunity to see the countryside HSJ picked the hotels which, in the main were great. Communication was very good and I was kept abreast of the itinerary. HSJ provides a comprehensive range of services and activities ranging from walking/trekking/climbing to plane and helicopter tours water based activities and, of course, sightseeing etc and not just in Nepal. I have to say that I am very tempted to come back to Nepal and I would not hesitate to book through Himalayan Social Journey.
Response from the operator: Dear Simon, Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review. It truly means a lot to us that you chose to travel with Himalayan Social Journey all the way from the UK. We are delighted to hear that your experience was seamless from the very first airport pickup to your final night in Kathmandu. We are so pleased that you enjoyed exploring Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Sarangkot. Nepal has so much to offer, and it is fantastic to know that the journey itself, especially the scenic drive to Pokhara, became such a memorable part of your adventure. As a solo traveler, it is especially important to us that you felt comfortable, connected, and well supported. We are glad you enjoyed joining other groups and that our guides made such a positive impression with their knowledge and passion for Nepal. They will be very happy to hear your kind words. Thank you as well for appreciating the hotels, communication, and overall organization of your itinerary. Providing a smooth, well coordinated, and enriching experience is always our goal. It would be an absolute pleasure to welcome you back to Nepal in the future. Whenever you are ready for your next adventure, we will be here to help create another unforgettable journey for you. Warm regards, The Himalayan Social Journey Team

Hotel
The hotel proved at Sarangkot was very poor quality. We had to look for another hotel on our own. They did reimburse the cost for us. Make sure you provide feedback if they give you poor quality hotel.

Solo travel top!
I want to sincerely thank Himalayan Social Journey for supporting me with kindness and helpfulness in my journey alone. I always felt safe, I asked to change multiple stops during my trip and they were always incredibly on piece! And the costs are great! Recommendation! Also on the last day I left a sweatshirt on the bus and they were really kind to send it to Italy! Fantastic!

It’s wonderful to know that you felt safe and well-supported, and we’re glad we could accommodate your requests along the way. Your satisfaction means a lot to us! It was a very good trip which I really enjoyed
I am a 68year old woman, I love bush walking and I traveled to Nepal to do a Luxury Escape Tour including 7 days of trekking on the Mardi Himal Trek to a view point at 4005m. Included as well was sightseeing Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan. Hotel accomodation and Teahouse accomodation on trekking days, all breakfasts and some lunches and dinners. For me the Trekking was the highlight. I really loved it and when I close my eyes I still can see all the snow covered peaks of the Anapurna range and especially Mt Machhapuchhare, which was our constant feature on the trekking days. We were only a very small group (4 people) due to Corona Virus, but we had 2 porters "Sorro" and "Pekay" ( do not know, what the correct spelling of their names is) they were so friendly with always a smile although they were carrying quite a heavy load. Binod our guide was very professional and we had lots of fun together. Nobody got Altitude sickness but we got snowed in at High Camp, so never made it to the viewpoint, but I realized how lucky we were to have a professional guide, who knew what to do to get us out and knew the way out even in meter high snow. Overall, the hotels were all quite good, I loved my daily Bhat Dhal and I am planning a return to Nepal to walk maybe the Anapurna Circuit with the company again Thanks for great memories, guys
Response from the operator: So thankful for your sweet words. We are pleased to be a part of your wonderful lifetime memories. See ya soon for another great fun trip.

Fantastic December trekking holiday in himalayan foothills
Himalayan Social Journey were fantastic from our planning stages through to being met on time at the airport by their friendly knowledgeable guides and then the magnificent tours of kathmandu and trekking up to Poon Hill look out passing through gorgeous mountain villages such as ghorepani and tadapani. Amazing holiday with teenage children - we played cards and danced and felt a connection with the guides and porters as well as the party comprised of 4 groups of trekkers (14 tourists).it was a lovely holiday in late December. Cold at night but clear skies and sunny days. Please think about this for your next holiday.
Response from the operator: We are absolutely thrilled to learn about your positive experience with us in Nepal. It makes us proud to know that we were able to take care of you and make your vacation a memorable one. We hope to be able to serve you and your family again. You can also refer us to your friends who may be considering to visit Nepal. Thank you for your kind review and your faith on us. HSJ TEAM

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
7 Day Kathmandu Pokhara Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does 7 Day Kathmandu Pokhara Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $350 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 7 Day Kathmandu Pokhara Tour take?
+
Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is 7 Day Kathmandu Pokhara Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 7 Day Kathmandu Pokhara Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 7 Day Kathmandu Pokhara Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 168-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 7 Day Kathmandu Pokhara Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 7 Day Kathmandu Pokhara Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Kathmandu Food and Drink Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
