Sri-Lanka, God's Country
Our trip to Sri-Lanka, God's Country was beyond our expectations. Thank you Apple Vacation. The trip consisted 9 of us and we had a mini-bus. We are from Australia. My friends in the tour were born in Fiji. Most of us have been in Australia for more than 30 years. My wife and I have been in Australia for 45 years. We can relate to Sri-Lanka. Our tour guide Rukshan and Driver Indika were professional, friendly, caring and helpful. They became family by the end of the tour. Deva, Apple Vacations owner had helped our friends who had tour organised with another tour group and got stranded prior to our tour. Deva and his associate, Surain went beyond to help our stranded friends. Thank you. Anyway back to our trip. Rukshan and Indika at every stop catered to our needs. From the food we wanted to try, to stopping for mangoes and local fruits on route to different destinations. And the shopping our friends thoroughly enjoyed as Rukshan did the biddings for us. We actually went for a wedding in Sri-Lanka. More than 150 people travelled to Sri-Lanka for the wedding from Australia. This was also organised by Apple Vacations. If you want a destination wedding in Sri-Lanka, Apple Vacations is the way to go. We enjoyed the wedding thoroughly which was held after our tour. Back to the tour. You have to try the local cuisine and local drinks. My wife wanted to try Moringa and the boys got it for her. Unbelievable. We stayed mostly in 3 STAR accommodation and boutique hotels. It was sensational. Staff were friendly and again the food was amazing. Every destination had its own attraction and it was simply amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we wholeheartedly recommend Apple Vacations to visit Sri-Lanka, God’s Country for a vacation or for a destination wedding. Congratulations Deva and Crew. Just wow. Thank you for the best vacation experience we had. We have travelled through Europe, Middle East and some Asian countries but the Sri-Lankan hospitality was exceptional. Good luck Deva and till we meet again. Thank you. 🙏🙏

We loved Sri Lanka and only wish we had a little more time!
Our journey included pickup from the airport late at night and transfer to a local hotel. We then traveled in the heartland of Sri Lanka including Pinnawala, Sigiriya, Habarana, Polonnaruwa, Minneriya national park, Kandy, Nuwera Eliya, Kandy and Colombo. Highlights for in included: Pinnawala elephant orphanage. The elephants appear to be treated well, and you can see them up close. Sigiriya Lion Rock fortress is a must. At age 50 and a little unfit, we had to take our time but it was well worth the climb. With steps and handrails it is very safe. The views are breathtaking and the architectural undertaking is mind-blowing. Jeep safari in Minneriya park was a little expensive at USD$80 (independent operator, not Apple vacation) but it was nice to see elephants in their natural environment, albeit with a lots of jeeps and tourists around... Although the elephants seemed entirely oblivious to us. Train ride from Nanu Oya to Ella. Trains are a great way to see this country. Pay a little extra and get an air conditioned carriage. Other things we enjoyed: Village cooking demonstration. Bicycle ride Nuwera Eliya (lovely town) Cultural dancing show in Kandy The huge meals! Things we wouldn't do again: Visit to the Herbal Spice Garden Gem museum in in Kandy Tips The trains never run on time. Tour operators always take you to some specialty experiences that are free, but there is an assertive sales pitch at the end by the operator (that's how they make their money). You don't have to buy anything. Engage with the locals where you can, they are a friendly people. Tip generously, Sri Lanka s probably don't earn as much as you. Don't spend too long in Colombo. Sri Lanka had much more to offer. Be open to new experiences and a welcoming, friendly and generous culture!

We’re truly delighted to know that you enjoyed exploring the heart of Sri Lanka — from Pinnawala and Sigiriya to Nuwara Eliya and Ella, and that the journey left you with such memorable experiences. It’s great to hear that the Sigiriya climb, train ride, and village activities stood out as highlights. Your detailed reflections — including practical tips and suggestions — will certainly help future travelers get the most from their Sri Lankan adventure. We appreciate your kind words about our team’s arrangements and your understanding of the cultural nuances along the way. We’ve also noted your feedback regarding the Herbal Spice Garden and Gem Museum, and we’ll review these experiences to ensure they meet guest expectations more closely. Thank you again for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back for another journey — perhaps to explore Sri Lanka’s southern coast or the scenic highlands in even greater depth next time.

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
6 Days Private Vehicle with English Speaking Chauffeur: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Colombo.
How much does 6 Days Private Vehicle with English Speaking Chauffeur cost?
+
Prices start at $229 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Colombo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 6 Days Private Vehicle with English Speaking Chauffeur take?
+
Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Colombo is not rushed.
Is 6 Days Private Vehicle with English Speaking Chauffeur worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Colombo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 6 Days Private Vehicle with English Speaking Chauffeur?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 6 Days Private Vehicle with English Speaking Chauffeur suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 144-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 6 Days Private Vehicle with English Speaking Chauffeur?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Colombo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Colombo and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 6 Days Private Vehicle with English Speaking Chauffeur start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Colombo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Colombo?
+
On Outty we rank every Colombo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Flexi dates on all 5 to 7 days packages for car and English speaking driver, Sri Lanka Personal Tour Driver in private vehicle, 08 Nights in Magical Sri Lanka. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Colombo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Colombo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
