A memorable experience
Reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro was the fulfillment of a dream, made entirely possible by the incredible professionalism and warmth of this team. From seamless booking with Sebastian—who was extraordinarily responsive, reassuring, and helpful both before and after our trek and subsequent 2-day Tarangire and Ngorongoro safari—to every single step on the mountain, every detail was flawlessly managed. Our guides, Kalvin and Hosea, expertly supported us through every phase of the ascent, while Miraji, our chef, amazed us daily with delicious, restaurant-quality meals served in a surprisingly comfortable camp. Beyond the top-notch service and impressive logistics, what touched us most was the profound human experience: the extraordinarily strong, kind, and ever-smiling porters, alongside the entire crew, quickly felt like family. Every small thoughtful gesture throughout these 6 days made this unforgettable journey deeply special, and we couldn't recommend them more highly. Thank you Sebastian, Kalvin, baba Hosea, Miraji, Jackson, Frank, Kile, Hussen, Ibrahimu, Kelvin, Ernest, Uwesu, Amani and Vicent. Julia & Mohamed

An Unforgettable Kilimanjaro Experience
I had an amazing experience climbing Kilimanjaro with African Trek and Travel. I shared the journey with a very nice German guy, two wonderful guides, Valence and Emmanuel, and a team of eight porters who made everything possible. Everyone was incredibly kind, professional, and supportive, creating a fantastic atmosphere throughout the trek. The organization was excellent, and the whole experience was unforgettable. I highly recommend African Trek and Travel to anyone planning to climb Kilimanjaro!

Amazing 6-Day Machame Experience
The 6-day Machame Route was an unforgettable adventure and one of the best experiences of my life. The route is incredibly scenic, with diverse landscapes ranging from lush rainforest to alpine desert and stunning views all the way to the summit. The itinerary was well planned, allowing good acclimatization and making the climb challenging but achievable. The guides were professional, knowledgeable, and extremely supportive, always motivating us and ensuring our safety and comfort. The food was surprisingly good and kept our energy up throughout the trek. Reaching Uhuru Peak was an emotional and rewarding moment that I will never forget. I highly recommend the 6-day Machame Route to anyone looking for a challenging, beautiful, and well-rounded Kilimanjaro climb.

A amazing and unforgettable experience
My climb to the top was a big dream. This team made it come true. The Guide (Kelvin): He knew everything. When I was tired and cold at night, he helped me. He always said “You can do it.” He is the best guide. The Cooker: The food was always hot and good. It gave me energy every day. The Waiter: Every morning, he brought me hot water to wash. He brought all three meals to my tent with a smile. He made me feel cared for. The Toilet Crew: He set up a clean toilet tent every day. Even on rainy days, I could use it easily. This small thing was a big help. The Porters: They carried the tents, bags, and everything. They worked very hard. Every afternoon, they made a warm camp for us. The Whole Team: They were kind, strong, and happy. They sang songs and kept us safe. This team is like a big family. They will take good care of you. If you want to climb this mountain, choose them. You will be safe and happy with them. I thank them with all my heart.

Why this scores 74
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
6 Days Machame Route Kilimanjaro Climbing: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.
How much does 6 Days Machame Route Kilimanjaro Climbing cost?
+
Prices start at $2600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 6 Days Machame Route Kilimanjaro Climbing take?
+
Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moshi is not rushed.
Is 6 Days Machame Route Kilimanjaro Climbing worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 53 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 6 Days Machame Route Kilimanjaro Climbing?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 6 Days Machame Route Kilimanjaro Climbing suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 144-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 6 Days Machame Route Kilimanjaro Climbing?
+
Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 6 Days Machame Route Kilimanjaro Climbing start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moshi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Moshi?
+
On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Kilimanjaro climb by Lemosho Route (7-day), Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Moshi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Moshi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
