my 6-day machame route experiance
this 6 Days Machame Route was the most intense week of my life coming from such a flat place! The guides from Burigi Chato Safaris sang beautiful songs to help us reach the top. I would suggest the 6 Days Machame Route to anyone who wants a high-energy group trip. The climbing on that last day was very tiring but so rewarding once you see the sign.

An Unforgettable 6-Day Kilimanjaro Climb with Burigi Chat Safaris
Wow, what an adventure! We just got back from conquering Mount Kilimanjaro, and honestly, choosing Burigi Chat Safaris for our 6-day Machame Route climb was the best decision we made. Right from the start, the group vibe was fantastic, but the support we got from the Burigi Chato crew was truly next level. The Machame Route itself is challenging, but every single day was visually stunning—it’s definitely the scenic way up! Crucially, sticking to the 6-day schedule really paid off. That extra day, made summit night achievable, even when the air got thin. Seriously, I felt so much better than I expected on the final push, and I credit the pace set by our guides, who were constantly checking in on our health. The guides were like family by the end, always cheerful and making sure we understood the importance of going Pole Pole. And let's talk about the food—how they managed to cook such delicious meals on the side of a mountain, I have no idea! If you're looking to tick the Kilimanjaro climb off your bucket list and want a team that is professional, safe, and just genuinely lovely to spend 6 days with, Burigi Chat Safaris is the one. A truly unforgettable group experience!

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route with Burigi Chato Safaris wa one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life. Everyday brought new scenery and new motivation to keep going. Even though this was a budget group joining tour, the level of care from the guides, porters and cook was incredible. Summit night was extremely tough, but the guides never stopped encouraging us. Their support, patience, and positive energy carried us all the way to Uhuru peak. The 6 day Machame Route provided excellent acclimatization and stunning scenery. I successfully reached uhuru peak and would confidently recommend Burigi Chato Safaris to anyone looking for reliable and affordable Kilimanjaro climb via Machame Route!!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.
How much does 6 Days Kilimanjaro Machame Route Group Climbing and Hiking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $993 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 6 Days Kilimanjaro Machame Route Group Climbing and Hiking Tour take?
+

Is 6 Days Kilimanjaro Machame Route Group Climbing and Hiking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 6 Days Kilimanjaro Machame Route Group Climbing and Hiking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 6 Days Kilimanjaro Machame Route Group Climbing and Hiking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 144-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 6 Days Kilimanjaro Machame Route Group Climbing and Hiking Tour?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 6 Days Kilimanjaro Machame Route Group Climbing and Hiking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moshi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Moshi?
+
On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Kilimanjaro climb by Lemosho Route (7-day), Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Moshi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Moshi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
