Incredible Safari and gorilla and chimp tracking experience with Nkuringo Safaris
Everything about Nkuringo Safaris was fantastic. They really took care of all of the complexities of designing a tour for us, helping us to make it work exactly as we wanted. The experience was just incredible. Moreen made sure that we were taken care of at every step. All our flights, lodges, game drives and tracking experiences went smoothly. The lodges were so beautiful and Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge is quite magnificent. Oscar our driver and guide did a fantastic job, with us for 5 days. The staff at the lodges were wonderful and very helpful. This was especially true at Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge in Bwindi. Our tracking experiences were unforgettable. Emmanual and his team at Kyambura Gorge did a fantastic job getting us to a chimp family, and Jones did a great job with his team in Bwindi giving us a most wonderful and memorable gorilla family experience. We also loved the boat safari with Rogers on the Kazinga Channel. Highly recommend this in every way.
Response from the operator: Hello Grant, Thank you for this great review. It was a real pleasure helping you put this safari together, and we are overjoyed that it unfolded just as perfect. Moreen and Oscar will be proud to hear that they added so much to your time in Uganda. Thank you, too, for mentioning Emmanuel in Kyambura, Jones and the Bwindi ranger team, Rogers on the Kazinga Channel, and our lodge teams. These are the people who quietly make each day special, and your kind words mean more than you know. It is awesome that Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge felt like such a memorable place to stay. We hope that every time you think about Africa, you remember that we are here to assist in the very best way. Thank you for choosing to travel with us, Grant. Looking forward to hosting you again, or any of your referrals.

Exceeded our expectations!
We just returned from a customized fly-in safari and primate-trekking trip with Nkuringo Safaris. This trip was an A++ experience!! Our travel manager, Catherine, did a fantastic job of planning every detail. Our guide, Patrick Yiga, was superb. His knowledge, driving abilities (not easy roads!), and communication skills were all excellent. He paid attention to every detail. We already miss him a lot! Our experiences, accommodations, and food were all exceptional. Nkuringo Safaris showed us why Uganda is truly the Pearl of Africa.
Response from the operator: Mary Carol, Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear that your safari and primate-trekking adventure exceeded expectations. It’s wonderful to know that Catherine’s planning and Patrick Yiga’s guiding made such a lasting impression—your compliments mean a lot to our team. We’re honored to have shared the beauty of Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, with you and hope to welcome you back again someday. Cheers! Nkuringo Safaris Team

A Life-Changing Adventure with Nkuringo Safari
A Life-Changing Adventure with Nkuringo Safari Experience! From the moment we arrived at the airport to the very end of our journey, our Nkuringo Safari Experience was nothing short of outstanding. Every aspect — from the warm welcome to the impeccable organization — exceeded all expectations. We are a family of three, traveling with our 15-year-old son, and we can honestly say this was one of the most incredible experiences of our lives. The community hike gave us a deep and genuine insight into local life — authentic, meaningful, and beautifully guided. The gorilla trekking was beyond words — humbling, emotional, and simply unforgettable. Everything about this trip was perfectly executed: the service, communication, facilities, and thoughtful details (including the lovely gifts) showed true dedication and care. As hoteliers, we understand the immense challenges behind logistics, coordination, and service delivery — and we were deeply impressed by how seamless and professional everything was. A very special thank you to Emma, whose attention, kindness, and professionalism made everything flow effortlessly, and to our incredible driver and guide, whose dedication, knowledge, and warmth made us feel safe, inspired, and truly cared for throughout. This wasn’t just a holiday — it was an experience that touched our hearts and will stay with us forever. Nkuringo Safari Experience is an absolute gem, and we can’t recommend it highly enough.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your incredible words! We’re thrilled that your family’s journey with Nkuringo Safaris was such a meaningful and memorable experience. It was a pleasure to host you, and we’ll be sure to share your kind words with Emma and the team. You’ll always have a home with us in Nkuringo — we hope to see you again soon! Cheers! A Once-in-a-Lifetime Magical Experience
I cannot say enough about our tour! We landed in Entebbe from Toronto, spent the night and flew out the next day to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Nkuringo Lodge. Spent 3 days, one of which was the magical Gorilla trek, along with community visits, hikes, seeing the Batwa people and lakes. It's was an amazing experience. The surroundings are awe inspiring, the people friendly and the gorillas awesome. Then we flew to Kibale to spend two nights at Primate Lodge, trekking to see the chimps. Truly another incredible experience watching them howl and jump and run at our feet. A once-in -a- lifetime. The trip was smooth, organized, on time and Diana was fabulous to work with. Our guides were knowledgeable, genuine and truly top-notch. Food, staff and accommodations were wonderful. I highly, highly recommend Nkuringo Safaris!
Response from the operator: Nancy, Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful account of your once-in-a-lifetime journey with us. We’re thrilled to hear that your safari was smooth, well-organized, and filled with unforgettable experiences. It’s also wonderful to know that Diana and our guiding team made your trip so seamless and enriching. They will be delighted to hear your kind words, as will the staff at Nkuringo Lodge and Primate Lodge. We’re truly honored that you chose Nkuringo Safaris for such a special adventure and that it exceeded your expectations. Thank you for your heartfelt recommendation. We hope to welcome you back one day for more magical experiences in Uganda. Cheers! Nkuringo Safaris Team

Exploring the Pearl of Africa
From the moment our driver, Patric Yiga, picked us up in Entebbe to begin our journey, we felt reassured that our travels would be safe. There were long hours spent driving and my many questions about Uganda were kindly answered. I still can’t believe how he could spot a leopard in a dense cactus! We were so lucky to see such wild creatures and the experience was unforgettable! The different lodges where we stayed, Isunga lodge, Kasenyi safari camp, and Nkuringo gorilla lodge were luxurious and offer truly wonderful meals and comforts of home. I have a much better understanding of lovely Uganda. I recommend the local foods, like matoke, that will give you energy on your journey! The people are genuine, the scenery and wildlife are a treasure for the world!
Response from the operator: Christine, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re so glad to hear that your journey through Uganda was such a memorable experience. It’s fantastic to know that from the very start, with Patrick as your guide, you felt safe, well taken care of, and engaged in the wonders of Uganda. His ability to spot a leopard in dense cactus is just one example of his incredible skill and knowledge—he truly is a master of his craft! We’re also thrilled that the lodges, including Isunga Lodge, Kasenyi Safari Camp, and Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge, provided you with the comforts and meals that helped make your trip even more special. It’s always a pleasure to offer guests a combination of luxury and immersion in nature, so we’re glad that you found it to be a perfect fit for your adventure. Your recommendation to try local foods like matoke is spot-on! The Ugandan cuisine is a hidden gem, and it’s wonderful to know you enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing your experience, and for highlighting Uganda’s beautiful people, scenery, and wildlife. We hope to welcome you back to the Pearl of Africa for more unforgettable adventures in the future! Warm regards, Mariam

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
6-Day Uganda Gorilla Adventure (Fly-in): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kampala.
How much does 6-Day Uganda Gorilla Adventure (Fly-in) cost?
+
Prices start at $3,354 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kampala usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 6-Day Uganda Gorilla Adventure (Fly-in) take?
+
Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kampala is not rushed.
Is 6-Day Uganda Gorilla Adventure (Fly-in) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Kampala, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 6-Day Uganda Gorilla Adventure (Fly-in)?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 6-Day Uganda Gorilla Adventure (Fly-in) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 144-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 6-Day Uganda Gorilla Adventure (Fly-in)?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kampala can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kampala and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 6-Day Uganda Gorilla Adventure (Fly-in) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kampala within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kampala?
+
On Outty we rank every Kampala experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kampala’s Best Experience walking tour, Kampala Walking City Tours (Women-Guided), Kampala Heart of Walking Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kampala?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kampala?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
