    Dreams Come True

It was a dream come true to visit the gorillas of Biwindi Impenetrable Forrest. Emma was an amazing guide and I always felt safe having him to help lead me. He was knowledgeable about many of the animals on the other safaris we went on as well and knew some wonderful stops to visit along the way. I highly recommend him and his company to anyone visiting Uganda.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much Rosemary for your great review, it was truly a pleasure having you explore Uganda with Trek Rwenzori Tours. We are delighted to know that you enjoyed your incredible journey through the peal of Africa from unforgettable Gorilla tracking in Bwindi to chimps, the exciting queen Elizbeth national park safari, to the beautiful wildlife experience in Mburo and the memorable mabamba shoebill tracking, we are so happy that each contributed to the special Ugandan adventure. Your kind words means so much to our team and motivate to continue creating safe authentic, memorable and responsible travel experience for our guests. Thank you for choosing Trek Rwenzori Tours and for your amazing support to us, we hope to welcome you back to Uganda some day for another unforgettable adventure. Kindest regards, James

    Our first Uganda trip

Emma (Usher) was a phenomenal companion on our journey through multiple locations. Always very helpful, supportive and most importantly he’s a great driver who handled very rough terrains super well in extreme conditions during safari. He is also quite knowledgeable and shared interesting information along the way. We all recommend him very much. Thank you Emma for making our Uganda trip so special and we wish you best on your future endeavors. M&J&M

    Uganda Wonderful

Couple trip to the Pearl of Africa, a wonderful place that changes your life. I had great expectations with this trip, but what we lived through exceeded everything. We did an amazing safari a whole day, visited Murchison falls, which were impressive. We visited the rhino sanctuary and another day we trekked with chimpanzees, it was very nice to see them in their habitat and impressive to see how they interact. Another day we were at Bunyonyi Lake, which was too cute and relaxing, but the cherry on the cake was the gorilla trek, wowwwww!!! Ameeee!!! A special mention for the wonderful Johnson and Silvia who were with us all the time and who cared about every detail so that everything went perfect...we became a family!!! By the way, no one tells you how delicious you eat in Uganda, absolutely everything was delicious and all the accommodations were super nice. I definitely wanted more Uganda!

Response from the operator: W0woooooo, what a wonderful review :), am so excited about it, am so gratfull, you guys we enjoyed so much with you and happy that by now i know much about Spain. thanks for choosing Trek Rwenzori Tours for your safari in Uganda and thanks for your support. The Pearl of Africa

We did a 8 days Uganda tour with Trek Rwenzori tours early September & it was a surreal experience throughout. Starting with Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Chimpanzee tracking at Kibale, Queen Elizabeth NP & finally Mountain Gorilla tracking at the Bwindi Impenetrable, it was as if we were living a dream. All the arrangements were perfect & accommodation excellent. Emma & Isaac were ever smiling, courteous & always willing to walk the extra mile to ensure that everything is perfect. Only minor hitch was the AC in vehicle not working ( probably because of time constraint, they couldn't repair it). But considering the dusty roads & the heat in the afternoon, AC vehicle is a must. All in all, we had an amazing experience in Uganda thanks to Emma & Trek Rwenzori which exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend Uganda tour with Trek Rwenzori.

Response from the operator: Dear Abhay, many thanks for the 5-star rating, we appreciate for your time and support. We already fixed A/C come next time. Thank so much for choosing, we hope to see you again for another big safari to Murchison falls national park, lake mburo walking safari and kidepo valley national park. Send our warm regards to Varshal, you guys we are missing you a lot. Cheers!!!!!!, Emmanuel.

Unforgettable 6 day Safari in Uganda

I did a 6 day solo safari with Rwenzori Tours and I can't say enough good things about it. From the first to the last day everything was well organised and exceeded my expectations. The itinerary started with the Chimpanzee trek, included various game drives in QE NP as well as a walking safari and the once in a lifetime experience, Gorilla Trekking which was beyond amazing. Every moment, especially the Gorilla Trek was a truly unique experience. Further, the Safari guide Sam made the trip extra special as he was incredibly kind, thoughtful and always made sure that I felt comfortable and safe as a solo traveller. He was professional but also quite funny at the same time which made every day and drive super fun. Besides that he has a lot of knowledge about wildlife and the Ugandan culture which added even more value to my trip. If you're considering doing a safari in Uganda, especially as a solo traveller, I really recommend doing it with Rwenzori Tours! :)

Response from the operator: Wow/hahhah, Big thanks Theresa for taking your time to write us a good review, we appreciate it and we thank you for your great support through traveling with us. I have already informed Sam about this review and is very happy for you. Thank you so much again for choosing Trek Rwenzori Tours for your Safari in Uganda. We wish you all the best in German and hope to see you back again in Uganda. Marion.

6 Days Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari in Uganda: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kampala.

How much does 6 Days Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari in Uganda cost?

    +

Prices start at $4,957 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kampala usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 6 Days Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari in Uganda take?

    +

Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kampala is not rushed.

Is 6 Days Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari in Uganda worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kampala, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 6 Days Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari in Uganda?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 6 Days Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari in Uganda suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 144-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 6 Days Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari in Uganda?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kampala can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kampala and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 6 Days Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari in Uganda start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kampala within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kampala?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kampala experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kampala’s Best Experience walking tour, Kampala Walking City Tours (Women-Guided), Kampala Heart of Walking Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kampala?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kampala?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

    +

Included: Private transportation; Bottled Drinking Water; Lunch; Dinner; and Chimpanzee and Gorilla Permits. Not included: Visa's, Tips, Optional Activities, Insurance, Flight Tickets. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
