Unforgettable Safari with Lenchada Safaris

We planned our 6-day safari with Lenchada Safaris, covering Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From start to finish, everything is well-organized, seamless, and truly exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Ken, is absolutely fantastic. He is knowledgeable, patient, and had a great sense of humor, which made the long drives enjoyable. His expertise in tracking wildlife meant we didn’t miss a thing - we were lucky enough to see the Big Five within the first few days in Masai Mara and Nakuru. Every game drive has been exciting, and Ken always makes sure we have the best views and plenty of time to take in the experience. The Land Cruiser is comfortable, spacious, and perfect for game viewing. Having it really enhanced the safari experience, especially on the rougher terrains. So far, Masai Mara and Nakuru have blown us away with their beauty and wildlife, and we are already looking forward to Amboseli to complete the journey. We would highly recommend Lenchada Safaris for anyone considering a safari in Kenya. If you get the chance, definitely ask for Ken as your guide - he truly ensures the trips to be unforgettable.

Exceeded Expectations

Safari: This bucket list adventure was well worth the trip! Kenya was the place to do it and June was a lovely month. Even from our first 5 minutes into Maasai Mara, we saw a parade of elephants which was magical! Guides in the parks connect on walkie talkies and make sure they communicate on where animals are. They all support each other and were very friendly. We saw SO much wildlife - it was incredible! Having a nice camera is good, but nothing too extravagant is necessary. Phones work well for pics and videos, too! Guide: Our guide, Richie, made the trip! He made us feel comfortable and prioritized us getting the best experience. He shared nice binoculars with us, taught us so much about Kenya, cultures and traditions, and the animals and plants. He was well-liked and regarded by other guides and helpful when cruisers got stuck in mud. We were so grateful for his knowledge, professionalism and friendship. Vehicle: We were pleasantly surprised at how nice our cruiser was. Each night, Richie cleaned the outside and inside. There was so much space and it was perfect out on the game drives. We loved having a private tour to be able to spread out our things and move to different seats. On our long game drives, it honestly didn’t feel like we were in a vehicle for hours. It was fun to switch between standing and sitting. Food: I wasn’t sure what to expect, but we were fed very well and the meals provided were sufficient. We didn’t see a need for snacks since we were given large and delish meals (consisting of protein like chicken and/or beef, vegetable, rice or ugali, chapati, and usually fresh fruit for dessert. Places had beer, wine, coffee, juice, and more. Accommodations: Staff at campsites were fabulous and friendly. We appreciated the high quality service at each location. Campsites were more like ‘glamping’ and it was nice to have a real toilet and shower connected to the tent. Hotels were very nice! Happy with the options and supposed with how nice the budget option was that we selected. We were worried about bugs, but they weren’t even an issue. Overall, I would recommend this to people who are open to immersing themselves into and love learning about other cultures. Those interested in flora and fauna will enjoy all that you will see. If you want a more personal tour, go with a group and get a private tour. We appreciated the communication from Alex and the company throughout the booking process. Thank you!

Experience of the lifetime

We joined the Lenchada safari 6 day tour and our driver is Dickson. Dickson a very knowledgeable guide and he gave us some very valuable information about the animals' behavior and complex social structures in animal groups. He is like a funny version of David Attenborough. With a lot luck but largely thanks to Dickson , We saw what we hope to see like all the Big Five, but also encountered some incredible moments such as a group of 10 lions devouring a buffalo, a cheetah chewing up a gazelle , a crocodile hunting an baby hippo. Dickson responded to our requests and answer all our questions patiently. He safely navigated through bummy dirt roads and sharp corners. We were happy with the accomodations arranged by Lenchada. The places were clean and most importantly we always felt very safe. The food was nice and plentiful, even the lunch boxes were in quite a big portions. We had a wonderful time and it was an extraordinary safari experience with Lenchada..

The experience of a lifetime!

I started planning my trip about a half a year ago and had no idea how to find a good safari company. I spent a lot of time researching companies and stumbled upon Lenchada who had amazing reviews and are known to have great tour guides. Let me tell you they didn’t disappoint. They were very helpful with planning my trip and quick to respond when I had specific questions. I started my safari last week and it was the best thing I’ve experienced in my entire life, and that is solely thanks to my amazing tour guides, Ali. I spent 6 days with Ali, going all over Kenya. Ali is very knowledgeable about animals and the geography of Kenya/ the surrounding areas we spent time in. I can tell he loves his job and he is the best at what he does. On top of that, he is very professional in the sense that he accommodates for each of his clients specific interests. I asked a lot of questions and he made sure to answer them to the best of his ability. On top of that, he helped me with a lot of things such as setting up nature walks and cultural experiences. I told him that it was important for me to see the big 5 and he made sure that happened. A core memory that I’ll never forget was that he set up the perfect opportunity for me to take a super rare picture of a cheetah. That was amazing. He wasn’t just accommodating to me, but to everyone on the safari. Others were interested in other animals such as birds and giraffes, and he made sure their needs were met. I even became a little interested in birds thanks to that. With all the time driving, I was always having a good time laughing and sharing stories with Ali and other members of the safari. I also felt very safe at all times. This was an experience I’ll never forget, thanks to Lenchada. I can’t recommend it any more. This is a very good company for first time safari goers and experienced ones!
