Kili Heroes - just great !
We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Kilimanjaro Heroes on our six-day trek up Kibo via the Marangu Route. From the very beginning, everything was well organized. The initial arrangements by Evarist were seamless, and we always felt that we were in good hands. Our guides, Siza and Maulid, were both incredibly warm, friendly and competent. They created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere while always making sure that we were safe. During the trek, they shared a lot of interesting knowledge with us about Kilimanjaro, its nature, wildlife, history and the local culture. We would like to give a special thanks to Joshua. Although he has already completed his training as a guide, he was working with us as a porter/waiter and did an absolutely excellent job. He was incredibly helpful, attentive and always willing to go the extra mile for us. His positive attitude and dedication were truly remarkable. Also „Mama" Juma, our cook, who managed to prepare delicious and varied meals every day — deserved a Special mention. Overall, the atmosphere among the whole team was relaxed and easy-going. We never felt rushed or under pressure, and at the same time everything was handled professionally. It felt much more like travelling with a great team of people than simply being on an organized tour. We are very grateful to the entire Kilimanjaro Heroes team for making our Kilimanjaro adventure such a memorable experience. Thank you, Siza, Maulid, Mama Juma, Joshua and the whole team!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for trusting Kilimanjaro Heroes with your adventure. We're delighted to hear you had such a great experience. Your kind words about Siza, Maulid, Joshua, Mama Juma, and the entire team mean a lot to us—we'll be sure to share your feedback with them. It was a pleasure to be part of your Kilimanjaro journey, and we hope to welcome you back to Tanzania for another adventure in the future. Safe travels! With Appreciations The Heroes Team - 2026

The reward is unforgettable
Climbing Kilimanjaro was both the toughest and most beautiful adventure of my life. The challenge is real, but the sense of accomplishment at the summit make it all worth it. the reward is unforgettable. And made it truly exceptional was the team at Kilimanjaro Heroes Adventures. The support felt like real coaching throughout. A special mention to our guide Paramba, who was outstanding. He pushed us beyond what we thought were our limits with the perfect balance of encouragement and care. An exceptional guide who will always remain one of our heroes. I highly recommend this team.

Best Tour Company in Tanzania
One of the best experiences we ever had in our lives. They made sure everything went smoothly and were very well prepared for any situation. All the guides/porters/cooks we had for the Killimanjaro hike and the safari were sooooo nice and friendly. It is also one of the few local companies, so if you want to support a local business definitely choose Killimanjaro Heroes Adventures.

"Piece of cake"
A few weeks ago we returned from Tanzania from our Kilimanjaro expedition. We decided to do the 6 days Marangu route. We chose Kilimanjaro Heroes Adventures as our adventure organizers. From the very beginning, we had great contact with Evarist via the Internet. In Moshi we met the employees who took us to the hotel where we met our guides Siza and Goodluck who presented us with the plan of the trip and checked if we had the necessary things. The next day after breakfast we met the rest of the team: Marck - an amazing cook, we had different dishes and amazing soups every day, Joshua - the waiter who took care of us so that we didn't run out of anything during meals and 4 very helpful porters, Stephan, Omary, Living, Ramadan. Our adventure has begun. Thanks to this group of wonderful people who helped us over these few days, we managed to fulfill our dream and get to the top. The guides motivated us all the way, huge portions and great food and lots of small details made us stronger. The guys really helped us as much as they could. I'm glad we chose Kilimanjaro Heroes because thanks to them we had an amazing adventure and fun. Thanks a lot.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
6 Day Kilimanjaro Climb Tour via Marangu Route: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.
How much does 6 Day Kilimanjaro Climb Tour via Marangu Route cost?
+
Prices start at $2400 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 6 Day Kilimanjaro Climb Tour via Marangu Route take?
+
Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moshi is not rushed.
Is 6 Day Kilimanjaro Climb Tour via Marangu Route worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 6 Day Kilimanjaro Climb Tour via Marangu Route?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 6 Day Kilimanjaro Climb Tour via Marangu Route suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 144-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 6 Day Kilimanjaro Climb Tour via Marangu Route?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 6 Day Kilimanjaro Climb Tour via Marangu Route start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moshi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Moshi?
+
On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Kilimanjaro climb by Lemosho Route (7-day), Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Moshi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Moshi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
