The Best of the Best Masai Mara Safari tours Two thumbs UP to Asili Adventure Safaris and Jimmy the Lion

Both Jackie and myself went to Masai Mara tour booking thru Enkorok camp directly and we were assign Asili Adventures Safaris and our Jeep safari guide is the "ONE and ONLY" Jimmy Ngunjiri (better know as Jimmy the Lion) to us. Jackie had an whole list of which animals to look for in Masai Mara besides the animals we seen in Lake Nakuru and Amboseli where we went b4 Masai Mara. At the bottom of the list is "The Greatest Migration on Earth" which is the 8th wonder of the world. Are we disappointed? Not at all, Jimmy the Lion had conquer it all and our final highlight was indeed breath taking spectacular. The Wildebeests crossing Mara river had me glued to the jeep for almost an hour and left me in daze and asking am I seeing the real thing. Yes indeed!

    The best safari ever!

I booked our safari thru African budget safaris.com to arrange everything. The entire booking process was flawless! Me and my friend went for my annual birthday trip and I don’t regret it all! We flew in the day before the safari to rest and relax and the next morning the jeep was there ready to pick us up early! Our driver and tour guide was Martin and he was the BEST! He answered all of our questions, he was friendly, always on time (actually early), took the time to make sure we were always comfortable and enjoying ourselves, and he really made my birthday trip the BEST! The lodges we stayed at were all clean, nice, and the staff friendly. This is probably one of the first vacations I’ve ever done where I don’t have a single complaint. I will definitely look into using them for other game drive experiences later.

Response from the operator: Hi Brittany. Many thanks for sharing your honest opinion about your safari experience with Asili Adventure Safaris Team. We are always at our clients reach on 24-7 , We shall pass your kind compliments to Martin your Kenyan safari guide. We are happy to note that you loved our choice of accommodations all along.. It was our great honor taking you on safari . Warm regards Joyce

5 Star Organization: Great Safari experience

What a wonderful experience all around. Monica was tremendously helpful in assisting in the organizing of the trip. She was polite, courteous, and prompt in replying to my questions, no matter when I asked - day or night / week or weekends. And Ben was a wonderful guide. Extremely friendly, very knowledgeable, and super accommodating. I had a great time spending the safari with him. He has a great knowledge of the area, and is flexible to do what you want, when you want, and how you want to do it. The lodging was great. The staff was wonderful. And the Land Cruiser was perfect. This is a 5 Star class organization. I highly recommend and would always book with this company. You won't be disappointed.

    Great safari tour

I travelled with my granddaughter, 12 years old, to Masai Mara for safari trip. This trip has been cancelled a year before due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Asili credited me for the advanced I already paid last year ! The trip was organized perfectly. We were picked up from JKIA, transferred into an excellent hotel and on the next day flew to the airstrip in Masai Mara. Over there, Martin was waited for us with a luxury 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser. Martin is the best "lions finder" I ever met (I already been several times in Masai Mara before). He knows where to drive for find lions in their habitats. He also configured the movement of herds on the way to the Mara river so we could watched the herd crossing the river in a different point, other than the main point. This was the second time I used Asili's services. As I said, excellent safari company.

5 days Masai Mara Wildebeest migration safari: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.

How much does 5 days Masai Mara Wildebeest migration safari cost?

    +

Prices start at $1995 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 5 days Masai Mara Wildebeest migration safari take?

    +

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.

Is 5 days Masai Mara Wildebeest migration safari worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 5 days Masai Mara Wildebeest migration safari?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 5 days Masai Mara Wildebeest migration safari suitable for kids and families?

    +

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 120-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 5 days Masai Mara Wildebeest migration safari?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 5 days Masai Mara Wildebeest migration safari start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nairobi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 days group joining safari to Maasai Mara with a Land Cruiser Jeep, 1 Day trip to Hells Gate and optional Lake Naivasha From Nairobi, Nairobi Masai village Day Tour Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nairobi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nairobi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
