Hopscotch Travel made an amazing place turn into incredible memories

We had an amazing experience with Hopscotch Travel during our 5-days in Scotland. From the first communication to the final drop‑off, everything was seamless. Our driver, Stewart, was warm, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make each day special. He shared great local insights, adjusted plans when needed, and made us feel comfortable the entire time. We saw so much more than if we went on this adventure alone and enjoyed the atmosphere so much more without the stress of driving and navigating. The tour was an incredible value with a comfortable van, knowledgeable driver, and excellent service! If you’re looking for a reliable, friendly, and truly accommodating guide service in Scotland, Hopscotch Travel is the one to book. Highly recommended it for everyone!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. Really happy to hear you all had a great time. Hope to see you again soon.

    Best private tour in Scotland

Fraser was THE best guide and driver!! So friendly and communicative from the start. His wealth of knowledge on the complexities of the history of Scotland is impressive!! He had stories and history for every place we went which is exactly what we were looking for when we booked a private tour. Fraser knew some great hidden gems we would never have seen without him. He would get out and walk with us to explain what we were looking at, why it was there and how it got there. He let us explore in our own too, never rushing us at any of our stops. I highly recommend Hopscotch travel and Fraser as your guide!!!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for such a kind review - it's wonderful to read all our efforts paid dividends for you and your tour with Fraser. Wishing you safe onward travels and you know where to find us when you return!

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Edinburgh?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
