4 day Isle of Mull, Iona and Oban tour

Fabulous 4 day Isle of Mull, Iona and Oban tour, our tour guide Charlie was great, very informative and had loads of personality. Accommodation at Tobermorey and Oban was lovely. Small tour of 6 ladies from different parts of the world. Charlie added a few extra stops to our itinerary, when the itinerary had to be rearranged due to the Puffin cruise tour day being changed, due to bad weather. Managed to see the Puffin's before they left, which was a great adventure.

    Mull and Iona vibes

Had an awesome trip on the 4 day Mull and Iona trip. Sadly missed the puffins (end of season - go in July!!), but the absolutely beauty of the region made up for it. Accommodation exceeded my expectations and the balance of structure and time for independent exploration was great Charlie (our guide/driver) was super knowledgeable, funny and bought the cracking Scottish playlist. 10/10 recommend for any nature lovers

Mull, Iona & Staffa Puffin Experience 4 Day Tour Departing From Edinburgh

We had a wonderful time with our tour guide, Charlie. She was friendly, attentive, and always made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience. Charlie shared the history of the area in great detail and pointed out many interesting landmarks along the way. Her knowledge and enthusiasm truly brought the tour to life. She took excellent care of our group, and we had a fantastic experience. We also stayed in two wonderful B&Bs that were comfortable and welcoming. Overall, this was an excellent tour from start to finish, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an informative, enjoyable, and well-organized experience.

4 day tour: Mull, Iona & Staffa wildlife Experience

I had a fantastic 4 day tour with Highland Explorer Tours in July 2026. If you want to see a lot of what Scotland has to offer without renting a car, this is the perfect way to get around. You also get to meet different people from all over the world, and you learn a lot about Scottish history and culture. I went on a 4 day trip to the Isle of Mull, Iona, Staffa and Lunga, and it was absolutely brilliant! We got to experience the lovely colourful town of Tobermory, the beautiful island and beaches of Iona, Glen Coe and Loch Lomond to name a few things. But my absolute highlight of the trip was the boat tour to Staffa and Lunga, where I got to explore Fingal’s Cave and see the puffins up close. Our tour guide Dusty was brilliant and took so great care of us! Friendly and funny and so so knowledgeable! I learned so much about Scottish history on this tour. I would definetly recommend this tour to others, and I will be back for another tour at another time!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Edinburgh.

How much does 6 Day Isle of Mull & Skye with Puffin Experience from Edinburgh cost?

    +

Prices start at $1,743 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Edinburgh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 6 Day Isle of Mull & Skye with Puffin Experience from Edinburgh take?

    +

Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Edinburgh is not rushed.

Is 6 Day Isle of Mull & Skye with Puffin Experience from Edinburgh worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 59 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Edinburgh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 6 Day Isle of Mull & Skye with Puffin Experience from Edinburgh?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 6 Day Isle of Mull & Skye with Puffin Experience from Edinburgh suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book 6 Day Isle of Mull & Skye with Puffin Experience from Edinburgh?

    +

Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Edinburgh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Edinburgh and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 6 Day Isle of Mull & Skye with Puffin Experience from Edinburgh start and how do I get there?

What are the best things to do in Edinburgh?

    +

On Outty we rank every Edinburgh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Chocolatarium Chocolate Tour Experience in Edinburgh, The Mountebank Comedy Walk of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Old Town: Historical Guided Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Edinburgh?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Edinburgh?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
