Exceptional experience 😀
Our five-day private trip to Machu Picchu was outstanding and a truly memorable experience. This was in no small way due to our wonderful tour guide, Yenrri Cabrera. Yenrri’s knowledge of Machu Picchu, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Peru in general was extensive and fascinating. Yenrri made our experience comfortable, and we never felt rushed. He took all the usual stresses from us (trains, buses, hotel check-ins, airport checks, etc.) with his calm demeanour, delightful, positive attitude, and energy. Thank you, YenrrI.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that your five-day private trip to Machu Picchu was such a memorable experience. A wonderful guided holiday in Peru
We had a private guide for 5 nights in Cusco and 2 nights in Aguas Calientes for Machu Picchu. Our highly educated guide Mariela took us with pride to a variety of archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. Mariela was always organised, professional, informative and friendly giving deep insight into her ancestors culture and history. She went above and beyond with advice about restaurants, ATMs and even shoe repairs! Mariela’s sweet and gentle nature combined with her knowledge of ancient and modern culture, history, flora and fauna made our adventure in Peru absolutely memorable.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your kind words! We are delighted to know that your journey through Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu was such a memorable experience. Mariela will be truly touched by your appreciation — her professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge of Peru’s history and culture are qualities we are very proud of. It makes us happy to know that her guidance and thoughtful recommendations added so much value to your trip. We hope to welcome you back for more unforgettable adventures in Peru!

Machu Picchu adventure
The trip was phenomenal. Our guide, Genrri Salazar, was knowledgeable, compassionate and accommodating. The last of these attributes was especially important in my situation, as I came down with a nasty bug halfway into the first day and was operating at about 50% at 13,000 altitude. Thanks to Genrri and my travel companions, I was able to scale the passes and make it to Machu Picchu. Additionally, the whole team of porters and our chef were exceptional, again thanks to Gentti’s accommodating direction. If there’s one complaint it would be Valentia Travel’s suggested tipping scale. What they suggest in their literature is extremely low for the amount of work these people do. I hope others are like us and disregard this attempt to make the excursion look less expensive on the backs of these hard workers and tip them closer to what they deserve.
Response from the operator: Dear Rob P, Thank you for your kind words about your trip and for highlighting Genrri’s exceptional guidance, as well as the efforts of our porters and chef. We’re glad to hear they helped make your experience memorable, even under challenging conditions. We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding our tipping guidelines and will certainly review them better to reflect the hard work and dedication of our team. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back for another adventure soon.

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
5 Day - Inca Trail Express To Machu Picchu - Private Service: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does 5 Day - Inca Trail Express To Machu Picchu - Private Service cost?
+
Prices start at $784 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 5 Day - Inca Trail Express To Machu Picchu - Private Service take?
+
Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is 5 Day - Inca Trail Express To Machu Picchu - Private Service worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Day - Inca Trail Express To Machu Picchu - Private Service?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 5 Day - Inca Trail Express To Machu Picchu - Private Service suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 5 Day - Inca Trail Express To Machu Picchu - Private Service?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 5 Day - Inca Trail Express To Machu Picchu - Private Service start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Full-Day Humantay Lake Trek (Meals Included), Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
