4 day in a hike with Valencia

Valencia went above and beyond in their service on our 4 day Inca trail hike. Lemme start with Aracely who helped me plan the entire itinerary. She gave me all options and was very responsive. Me and my daughter went on this hike alone and our guide Juan Collado was very attentive and took care of us very nicely. He would ensure all our needs were met carefully. He was very patient as I was a bit slow climbing up those steps. He was also very knowledgeable about various Inca sites we saw on the way. Our main chef Felix was so creative. We didn’t feel like we were in wilderness and would look forward to the 4 course meals each time. We took a private luxury tour and have a big group of porters carry our tent, toilet, hot shower, dinner tent along with us. Overall just a wow experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with us. We are truly delighted to know that your 4-day Inca Trail journey was so memorable for both you and your daughter. It’s especially rewarding to hear your kind words about Aracely. Her dedication and responsiveness in planning each detail are something we truly value, and we’re glad she was able to support you from the very beginning. We’re also very pleased to know that Juan Collado provided such attentive and patient guidance throughout the hike. His care, knowledge, and support—especially on the more challenging sections—are exactly what we aim to offer all our guests. A special thank you as well for recognizing the work of Felix and our incredible porter team. We take great pride in creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience, even in the middle of the mountains, and it’s wonderful to know you appreciated the meals and overall service. Thank you again for trusting Valencia Travel with your adventure. We hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable experience in Peru.

    Hiking to Machu Pucchu

Juan Collado was our guide with our hike to Machu Picchu with Valencia travel. He did a great job explaining the trek and kept us well informed of what was ahead of us. He was super knowledgeable of the trail, ruins, plants, animals, etc. He had a great sense of humor and made the hike a lot of fun. The Porters were great and the food was 5 star by our chef

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you had such a great experience hiking to Machu Picchu. It’s fantastic to know that Juan made the trek enjoyable and informative with his knowledge and great sense of humor. We’re also very happy that you enjoyed the support from our porters and the delicious meals prepared by our chef — they truly are an essential part of the experience. Walking with a historian…

Mijail was simply outstanding. You are not walking with a guide. You are walking with a living embodiment of his people, his culture, and his history. Patient, deeply attentive, and meticulous at every step, it felt less like a tour and more like having a personal concierge, expert guide, and passionate historian all in one. The entire crew was exceptional, and the equipment was truly best in class.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your incredibly generous and thoughtful review. Your words truly mean a lot to us. For us, walking with our guests is about much more than giving a tour — it’s about sharing who we are, our history, our culture, and our way of seeing the world — so knowing that you felt this connection is deeply rewarding. We also truly appreciate your kind mention of our team and equipment, as we put great care into every detail to make each experience meaningful and memorable. We would be delighted to welcome you again and continue walking through history together.

5 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu - Private Service: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.

How much does 5 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu - Private Service cost?

    +

Prices start at $848 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 5 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu - Private Service take?

    +

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.

Is 5 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu - Private Service worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu - Private Service?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 5 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu - Private Service suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 5 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu - Private Service?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 5 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu - Private Service start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cusco?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Full-Day Humantay Lake Trek (Meals Included), Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
