Private 5day/4 night safari with Perfect Experience Tours
My wife & I normally self-drive in Kenya, but owing to the distance & new confusing road configurations around Nairobi, decided on this occasion to take a safari package with a professional driver/guide. Arrangements were handled by Jacinda via email, & our driver, Nathan, promptly collected us from our Nairobi hotel on commencement of our safari. His driving was first class & we felt safe at all times during the journey. Our first two nights were spent at the Saltlick Lodge, Taita Hills, which was wonderful & I highly recommend it. Game-drives were relaxed & productive, Nathan was patient & had a keen eye for spotting game that my wife & I both missed. Our next two nights were spent at the Serena Lodge in Amboseli, which was excellent but held no surprises as we'd stayed there before. We saw everything we wanted to see during our safari, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable & worthwhile experience - good value & no quibbles! Unable to post more photo's at this time because the majority were taken on my camera, the photo's I've posted were taken at Saltlick Lodge, and the cheetah in Amboseli.

Trip of a lifetime!
From pick up at the hotel to drop off 5 days later every detail was well thought out! We didn't know what to expect, but we're not prepared for the care, and attention to detail we received, from our driver John pointing out animals and providing education on the safari drives, to the accomodations where staff were friendly and ensured a wonderful experience!! The safari drives were a highlight as we saw every animal on the list. John was persistent in helping us find them and providing plenty of time for pictures and soaking up the moments. We saw lions, elephants, giraffes, rinos , hippos, a leopard, ostrich, cheetah, hyenas...its endless. Seeing the joy and excitement in my kids faces was worth everything!! We will definitely book again if we are lucky enough to have the opportunity!!

Nature in its most beautiful and pure state.
We did Safari Kenya 5 days. Our guide was a woman named Nicole and was excellent. Couldn't have been better. Guia Nicole’s knowledge of wildlife, birds and nature is excellent. The guide Nicole was super attentive and helped us with everything we needed. The excellence of this safari would not have been so wonderful without Nicole.

Would recommend to friends
We have just finished 5 days safari with Shoor and it was an amazing experience. Our tour guide, John was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting facts, he went out of his way to ensure we saw all the animals we wanted to see and made sure we were comfortable the entire trip. He was an excellent driver on the Safari roads and the busy Nairobi streets making us feel very safe. He also seemed to know everyone which meant he had the in for locating animals! All hotel changes, pick ups and drop offs were smooth and well organised and we could relax knowing everything was taken care of. It was excellent value for money and we would recommend this trip to our friends without hesitation.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
5 Day Amboseli & Tsavo West Safari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.
How much does 5 Day Amboseli & Tsavo West Safari cost?
+
Prices start at $1233 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 5 Day Amboseli & Tsavo West Safari take?
+
Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.
Is 5 Day Amboseli & Tsavo West Safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Day Amboseli & Tsavo West Safari?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 144 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 5 Day Amboseli & Tsavo West Safari suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 13. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 120-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 5 Day Amboseli & Tsavo West Safari?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 5 Day Amboseli & Tsavo West Safari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nairobi?
+
On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 days group joining safari to Maasai Mara with a Land Cruiser Jeep, 1 Day trip to Hells Gate and optional Lake Naivasha From Nairobi, Nairobi Masai village Day Tour Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nairobi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nairobi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
