    Had a great tour

Our guide, Bill Thurston, was fantastic. He was on time, vehicle was great. He knew so much about the history of the area, the changes in the area over time caused by Mother Nature & humans. He gave us so much info about the rich & famous past & present. He told us how the park was created & preserved. He was a very careful driver. We would highly recommend this company and ask for Bill!! It was worth the cost.

    I am a solo female...

I am a solo female traveller. I paid $725 for this day tour. The amount paid was not worth it. I felt very uncomfortable at several moments where my guide touched my arm, wanted to speak with me about romantic relationships, commented on my looks, and spoke as if we were on a date. Being a long time solo traveller, I know to be calm & polite in these situations to avoid awkwardness. I would have preferred things remain completely professional & to not be touched at all. I know if I would have been present with a male traveler, I would not have had to deal with this. I'm sure the guide meant no harm, he was friendly, but I don't think it's fair that due to being a solo female traveller. I have to pay so much, and yet be made to feel uncomfortable. I expect extreme professionalism for this exorbitant price. Please, do better for (all) your customers. It was not fair how I was treated. Aside from that, the park is beautiful & the van is nice, but again, not at all worth the price.

Response from the operator: As a woman owned company I am deeply sorry to hear that you felt uncomfortable at points during your private tour. We take the safety, comfort, and peace of mind of our solo female travelers with the utmost seriousness. The behavior you described does not align with the strict standards of professionalism we expect from our team. I am addressing this directly with the guide involved. Luckily we have go pros on our vehicles. I also want to apologize for the frustration regarding the cost. To clarify for our guests, our private tours are priced as a flat group rate for the vehicle, accommodating groups of up to six people, rather than an individual per-person ticket. However, regardless of group size, every single guest deserves a flawless, professional, and secure experience, and we clearly fell short of your expectations.

Our Guide Bill was great. Very knowledgeable and even though the weather was DISMAL he made it a good time. Good way to figure out where you want to explore further. We whole heartedly endorse At Your Service tours.

4 Hour Private Acadia Tour Cadillac Mountain & Somes Sound Fiord: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bar Harbor.

How much does 4 Hour Private Acadia Tour Cadillac Mountain & Somes Sound Fiord cost?

    +

Prices start at $725 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bar Harbor usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 4 Hour Private Acadia Tour Cadillac Mountain & Somes Sound Fiord take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bar Harbor is not rushed.

Is 4 Hour Private Acadia Tour Cadillac Mountain & Somes Sound Fiord worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 253 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bar Harbor, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 4 Hour Private Acadia Tour Cadillac Mountain & Somes Sound Fiord?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 4 Hour Private Acadia Tour Cadillac Mountain & Somes Sound Fiord suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 4 Hour Private Acadia Tour Cadillac Mountain & Somes Sound Fiord?

    +

Around 89 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bar Harbor can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bar Harbor and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 4 Hour Private Acadia Tour Cadillac Mountain & Somes Sound Fiord start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bar Harbor within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bar Harbor?

    +

Bar Harbor is Acadia National Park access: Park Loop and Cadillac Mountain tours, carriage road bike rides, lobster boat trips, puffin cruises and sea kayaking. Cadillac sunrise reservations are the detail most listings miss. On Outty we rank every Bar Harbor experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Narrated Bus Tour of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park (3.5 Hours), Narrated Bus Tour of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, Guided Ebike Tour of Acadia National Park Carriage Roads. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bar Harbor?

    +

June to October, with autumn colour in early October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bar Harbor?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
