As waves break, they carry rocks from the base of the beach and carry them up to shore. Good experience but pricey
We planned this as a little mini vacation before taking my daughter to U of Maine. Being we are not from Maine and really know nothing about the area, figured this probably best idea as we only had couple days to see the sites. I booked through website doing the 6-hour tour. Driver's name was Tim - we were early he called us to let us know where to meet and he was on time and van was clean and in good shape. He took us to all the areas listed and had good local knowledge. Beal's was great especially if you like fresh seafood. However, the description of on their website says "enjoy an authentic lobster lunch right on the water" which you can but for additional price and it should say that. Just base price for Van and Driver - You're paying $180/hr not cheap plus we dropped over $300 at Beal's - (FYI Beal's they charge you a tip they don't ask they just add to the bill) and Tim our driver mentioned he gets his Meal's Comp at this place not surprisingly. You won't have to wait on any lines at Beal's they will take care of you. Another thing little Odd - when we got the table at Beals after ordering - he sat with us at dinner. We are social family, so it wasn't awkward for us but just FYI if that's something you may not like. Beal's should be giving these Tour's some kind of discount or at least a free drink or appetizer. I get not comp an entire family. Also - you can stop wherever you want on the tour - we walked through NE Harbor for a bit but after 6 hours I am over $1,300 in. We had good time, Tim was good (we tipped him as well) and we made great memories, great pictures but all in - be prepared to spend over $200/hour on this. Glad we did it, but this is 1 and done for us.

Our six-hour tour is a fully private experience for your party, with a dedicated local guide and vehicle for the entire six hours, and the itinerary can be customized throughout the day. We realize that a private tour is a significant investment, and we truly appreciate that you chose us for your family’s limited time in Maine. We also appreciate the feedback about your guide joining you at the table. While some guests enjoy continuing the conversation with their guide over lunch, we understand that other families may prefer that time to themselves, and we’ll make sure our guides are more mindful of asking guests what they prefer. We had an incredible day with Bill! He was an amazing storyteller, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Acadia and the history of the island. We were so impressed by the depth and detail of everything he shared, and he kept us captivated from the very beginning. Tour with a real Mainer
We just finished a 6- hour tou with Bill who showed us much more than Acadia park sites. We had the opportunity to see other parts of the island including the summer cottages along the water. Bill is a real Mainer with detailed knowledge inside and out outside the park. We even had lunch at Beal’s Lobster Pier which was amazing, Highly recommend this private tour over any mass bus group tours.

Acadia and Bar Harbor-amazing experience!
Great day learning about Acadia Mational Park, Bar Harbor and surrounding areas. Our tour guide Bill, sounds like “Belle” with his accent, was funny, informative and flexible with what we wanted to do and see! He took us to eat lunch at Beal’s Restaurant where we had the best lobster and lobster roll! Highly recommend this tour and hopefully you will get Bill as your tour guide!
