Beautiful Romania 🇷🇴
A fantastic tour with heart and flexibility We were truly very happy with the tour—everything was well-organized but still relaxed and adaptable. Andreaa and Mihai always listened to our wishes, whether it was a spontaneous flea or one of our multiple coffee or wine tasting stops. The trips took us to places we would never have found on our own, and the stories about the country’s culture, traditions, and history were really fascinating. Big Thanks to Andreaa and Mihai—it was a wonderful time!

Great tour
Well organized, well thought through, planning done together, flexible when we changed plans, knows his stuff, learnt lots of old and modern Romanian history. Loved the highway and the bears! (Cannot guarantee that you will see them)

Mihai, amazing Romanian guide!
My husband and I spent an amazing 5 days with Mihai being guided around some amazing cities and sights throughout Transylvania- Mihai was the perfect guide, easy going, educated and knowledgeable of all the places to see and experience- we had awesome chats in the car between destinations about Romania and neighboring countries past history, languages, politics and just about anything else we could think of- Mihai was not just an excellent guide and navigator around all the sights but chose great hotels for us in the city center so at night we could step out of our hotel and into the main square with restaurants and shops- Mihai stayed at a different hotel and picked us up at an agreed upon time in the morning , which allowed us some time to ourselves and digest and discuss our day- He also arranged for us to stay in a genuine working farm house with an incredible family in a town famous for its woodworking and moonshine- The trip couldn’t have been any better, and we typically don’t utilize guides as we travel so much independently, but this was the best decision we have made Don’t hesitate to book him!! Reasonable prices and you get so much more for your money with no stress

Transylvania with a Romanian - the only way
If you want to see the "real" Romania, Mihai is absolutely the best guide to go with. His extensive knowledge of history and culture, as well as his recounting of his own personal experiences gave us a perspective that we would never have had on our own or in a large group. As well, he was able to customize our trip and created ther 4-day tour after understanding what our interests were in Transylvania (more historical and cultural - less Dracula). And then he added experiences we hadn't considered e.g. meals with locals, staying in a Saxon village, visiting a Romani family, etc. The trip was well-executed, and he was flexible and creative when a planned stop didn't work out. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

Why this scores 80
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
4-Day Private Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bucharest.
How much does 4-Day Private Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest cost?
+
Prices start at $1175 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bucharest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 4-Day Private Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest take?
+
Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bucharest is not rushed.
Is 4-Day Private Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 50 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bucharest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 4-Day Private Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 4-Day Private Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 4-Day Private Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest?
+
Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bucharest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bucharest and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 4-Day Private Tour in Transylvania from Bucharest start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bucharest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bucharest?
+
On Outty we rank every Bucharest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Real tour of Communism, Bucharest Highlights Walking Tour, Top Gear Road, Small-group max 7 pax with Pick-up, Transfăgărăşan. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bucharest?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bucharest?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
