Amazing 4 day trekking from Sirimon to Chogoria
We had the best trekking experience we could’ve asked for. Jimmy, an excellent guide that took us to the summit right on time before sunset. Patrick, the chef, who prepared every delicious meal with such detail that we could feel like we were in s private restaurant. Eric who picked us up and returned to Nairobi treating us with so much care and Geniro, Boris and Douglas who help carrying our tent, sleeping bags, food and so much more, making us feel like 5-hotel stay. Experience itself was 10/10. We enjoyed the most unknown Kenyan landscape: forest, rivers, animals and waterfalls. The only con I would mention is the high comission that Hyrax Safari applies when paying for the booking. It’s hard to find a way to pay without this high fee. Would be easier if they had other payment methods.

10/10 experience
We went on a 4-day trek, and everything was perfect. Food was delicious, tents were always ready, and the guides were helpful and adjusted the pace accordingly. The price was very affordable. I recommend this agency to anyone planning to climb Mount Kenya.

Perfectly organized 4-d trekking to Mt. Kenya
Hyrax Safaris organized a trek on Mt. Kenya for us. From our very first inquiry, communication with Roselyn was incredibly fast and professional. We had no problems adjusting the itinerary to our needs. We did a 4-day trek, starting at Sirimon Gate and finishing in Chogoria. Daniel was the leader of the support team — a very experienced guide who did an excellent job selecting the additional guides, chef, porters, and other members of the team. Everything went perfectly during the trek as well. The food prepared by Patrick was delicious and varied, and the equipment provided (tents, sleeping bags, and mattresses) was of very good quality. Thanks to such a great team, reaching an altitude of 3,985 meters above sea level was a real pleasure. Thank you very much, and we highly recommend Hyrax Safaris to anyone visiting Kenya — not only for trekking, but also for safaris.

Experienced guides
First of all the job at the office was great, always answering all my questions and doubts, ready to fulfill my requests. Than the adventure begins and let me tell you, Daniel was our main guide and he was amazing, like all the troupe, second guide, porters and chef. There are no words to describe their love for the mountain, their knowledge of the filed and animals, their patience and support with us, always ready to help us in every way possible.. it’s not easy but they made easier for sure!

Mount Kenya Summit
My climb of Mount Kenya with Hyrax Safaris went very well. Communication before the trip was smooth and everything worked as agreed. Our guide Kelvn managed the schedule carefully and made sure we acclimatized properly. We reached Point Lenana at sunrise as planned. The arrangements, food, and logistics worked throughout the trek. I felt safe and well supported, and the trip matched what was promised. I would recommend Hyrax Safaris for a Mount Kenya climb.

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
4-Day Mount Kenya Trekking with Pick Up: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.
How much does 4-Day Mount Kenya Trekking with Pick Up cost?
+
Prices start at $794 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 4-Day Mount Kenya Trekking with Pick Up take?
+
Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.
Is 4-Day Mount Kenya Trekking with Pick Up worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 4-Day Mount Kenya Trekking with Pick Up?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 4-Day Mount Kenya Trekking with Pick Up suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 4-Day Mount Kenya Trekking with Pick Up?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 4-Day Mount Kenya Trekking with Pick Up start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nairobi?
+
On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Wild 5-Day Safari: Magical Mara, Nakuru Wonders & Hell's Gate, 2 Days Amboseli Safari using a 4x4 Landcruiser jeep(with options), Kibera Slum Tour with Lucas. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nairobi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nairobi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in 4-Day Mount Kenya Trekking with Pick Up?
+
Included: Lunch; All Fees and Taxes; Dinner; and Breakfast. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does 4-Day Mount Kenya Trekking with Pick Up include hotel pickup?
+
Yes, pickup is offered for every traveler from 17 listed pickup locations in and around Nairobi. Be ready about 120 minutes before the start time.
What languages is 4-Day Mount Kenya Trekking with Pick Up offered in?
+
It is offered in English, French and Spanish. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for 4-Day Mount Kenya Trekking with Pick Up?
+
Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.
Is 4-Day Mount Kenya Trekking with Pick Up wheelchair or stroller accessible?
+
The operator notes: Not recommended for pregnant travelers. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.
What happens to 4-Day Mount Kenya Trekking with Pick Up if the weather is bad?
+
It generally runs rain or shine, so dress for the forecast in Nairobi. Standard cancellation terms apply: free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start.
