Incredible safari and guiding — but recommend skipping the optional village visit
We had an amazing safari in the Mara, and a huge shoutout to Dennis! He was a fantastic guide and driver—super knowledgeable, great at tracking the animals, and made our game drives unforgettable. Everything on the safari side was seamless. The safari walk and bush dinner were absolutely incredible—such an unforgettable experience. A huge thank you to Peter for organizing everything with our camp so seamlessly! Only tip: skip the optional Maasai village visit. The dancing was nice, but the craft market turned into a high-pressure shakedown. They avoided giving prices upfront, then 4–5 guys cornered us at the end demanding crazy amounts—we ended up paying $130 for two carvings just to get out of there. Stick to the game drives mainly, the safari itself was 10/10!

Excellent tailored private safari
We thouroughly enjoyed our tour in the Masai Mara. Flash M tours handled all the arrangements and it was seamless. Thank you to Peter for his great customer service and fast reponses by phone and email we were confident heading into our first ever safari and relaxed to speak in all it had to offer. We were partnered with a driver named Dennis, who's very experience in the Mara and new where to take us every day was a little different route and we were blown away with all the animals we saw. His calm friendly manner made us very comfortable, he is very professional and knowledgeable too! We also opted for the hot air balloon ride and this was an amazing experience working with a professional balloon company operating for 50 years in the Mara. 100% recommend Flash McTours for a great mid-budget tour with touches of luxury where they count.

The most memorable Mara experience
We travelled to the Maasai Mara for a four-day luxury safari as two families and stayed at Mara Sopa Lodge. Overall, we had a very good experience. From the beginning, Abel was friendly, patient and easy to communicate with. He responded on time and was open to discussing the price and different arrangements. I never felt like our questions or negotiations were a burden to him. He gave us a good price and also included a few extra services, which we appreciated. We were welcomed with gifts that were practical for the safari. We have travelled with other safari companies before, but this was the first time we received something like that. It was a thoughtful and unique touch. Our driver, Martin, was very helpful throughout the trip. He listened to our requests, accommodated us whenever we needed to stop along the way and made sure everyone was comfortable. He knows the Maasai Mara very well and made a real effort to help us see the best of the wildlife. He also shared a lot of interesting information about the animals and the savanna during the game drives. The lunches provided during the drives were good, and Mara Sopa Lodge was excellent. The accommodation was just as it had been described to us during the booking process, which was very important to us. We enjoyed our four days in the Mara and came away with many beautiful memories. Thank you to Abel and Martin for making the trip enjoyable and well organised for both families.

Trip of a lifetime
Booking was easy and tailoring the tour no problem with our requests answered quickly and efficiently. Anthony, our driver/guide, helped make the trip the success it was. He is courteous, knowledgeable on the wildlife and where to find them, patient and with a great sense of humour. He wasn't happy until we had found the animals we wanted to see. We chose the accommodation upgrade for both stays and were not disappointed. At Maasai Mara it was novel to be escorted too and from our cabin after dark as hippo and zebra roamed the lawns.

Trip of a lifetime
My 4-day safari in the Maasai Mara was an incredible adventure that exceeded all expectations. Our safari guide Simon was knowledgeable and just the best. He made each day exciting and something to look forward to. Staying at Ashnil Mara Camp added a layer of comfort and authenticity to the experience — the camp was beautifully set along the river, with excellent service, delicious meals, and cozy accommodations that made us feel right at home in the wild.
