Classic 4 day Inca trail
The classic 4 day Inca trail was a great experience. Freddy our guide was good. Freddy’s was a great source of information on spiritual, flora & fauna of the area. You can see & here he has many years of accumulated knowledge. The chef Augustine with the support crew of Mario, Jose, Thomas 1 , Thomas 2 & Sabino were amazing. The food was brilliant considering it was done in small camp areas. The food was always scrumptious & plentiful. Would recommend this trip & this tour group. I must say that this was more challenging than we thought but we were well supported & guided. Tanja & Giovanni

A dream come true
A brilliant experience and a dream come true with a fantastic company. Edwin our guide was both extremely supportive but also gave you your space to enjoy the walk as if you were doing it yourself. He was also incredibly funny, generous and also gave a lot of information about the ruins we passed and the lives of incas as we walked. The porters are incredible people. We tried lifting the backpacks and I still don’t know how they did it and the food they manage to cook up blows my mind. Had the pleasure of spending this walk with a great group so all together was everything I could have wished for. Just do it as you’ll have no regrets afterwards.

The best adventure you’ll ever have
Absolutely amazing! One of the greatest experiences and adventures of my life! The 4 day Inca Trek is 100% a must do in everyone’s lifetime. Simply nothing else to say but everyone must experience what we just went through. Edwin and the team of porters were incredible! The food was so amazing, especially since they made it all on the trek and carried it all with them! Even so it was probably the best thing we ate in Peru (above Lima restaurants as well) Edwin was amazing! Such a wonderful guide and gave us such incredible insight into the land, he truly made the trip even better. 11 out of 10.

Perfect Inca Trail Trek in September
Wow. Wow. Wow. What an incredible 4 days on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Efriam is a generous and wonderful guide. Honestly everything about our trek with Inkayani blew my mind. It was hard, but somehow my legs feel great. The trek itself - stunning at every moment. The incredibly strong and good natured porters and the chef prepared 5star meals. All the pieces work so well. And to arrive at Machu Picchu in the early dawn by foot is to open the imagination and heart to the genius of the Inca. Thank you!

Inca Quarry Trail
Our guide Freddy was amazing, he taught us heaps about the culture and was very encouraging. We did the 3 n 4 d Inca QuarryTrail with a small group which made the trip personal, the food everyday was delicious. Inkayina is a locally owned and operated tourism company and does it best at supporting other local business and people.

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
4-Day Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does 4-Day Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu cost?
+
Prices start at $850 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 4-Day Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu take?
+
Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is 4-Day Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 352 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 4-Day Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 4-Day Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 4-Day Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu?
+
Around 123 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 4-Day Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Full-Day Humantay Lake Trek (Meals Included), Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
