Great trip and so flexible and accomodating
We had a great safari with Kihindo Tours. Michael was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable on the animals and history of Tanzania. And a fantastic driver through some hairy traffic!! He went above and beyond. Everything ran to plan. They were there to pick us up at the scheduled time everyday. Met us at our hotel and dropped us off. Same with the train station to and from Morogoro.The accomodation and food was great. We saw so many animals. I woukd recommend this tour operator

More than perfect experience with Kihindo Tours and Davis
We did the „4-Day 3 Nights Budget Safari to Mikumi and Ruaha NP by Train“ From the very first contact on Kihondo Tours won us over with their friendly, detailed and clear communication, which remained like that during the whole journey. We had some small wishes beforehand and although we just booked the day before, Pilly could work out everything at its best. From receiving Train Tickets, all the pick ups and drivers, everything was just perfectly arranged. The Safari Trip itself turnt out better then we could have ever expected. First of all our Guide Davis is an amazing, knowledgable, fun and professional guide with 20yrs experience. He knows what he does at any time, always while respecting nature and his human surroundings. Davis loves his job and that shows! We couldn't be happier having you as our guide! Mikumi NP was more crowded than Ruaha NP, and it seems like Ruaha remained more natural. The camps we stayed in were according to our price level perfectly fine and we felt safe at any time. Every meal inside the national parks was arranged and included - and also very good, water was available throughout the whole day. All in all it was a more than perfect experience and I wholeheartedly recommend Kihindo tours (and Davis) to everyone!

Our trip was very nice except for the second night, where our accommodation was provided by the government. It was very run-down, and the food wasn't anything special either.

Unforgettable 4-Day Safari with Private Jeep – Highly Recommended!
We were a group of four and had our own private Jeep with our guide and driver William, which made the safari flexible, comfortable and very personal. The entire 4-day tour was perfectly organized from start to finish. Our first stop was Mikumi National Park, where we spent a full day. The scenery was stunning and we already got to see many animals in their natural habitat. We stayed the night at Camp Bastian, which we absolutely loved. The camp is beautifully designed, peacefully located, and even has a pool – perfect for relaxing after a day on the road. The next morning we headed to Ruaha National Park, where we spent two days. The first night we stayed inside the park at Tanapa Ruaha Bandas. The views were absolutely amazing and we really enjoyed being so close to nature. However, the water wasn’t working and the strong wind blew right into the room during the night. Despite that, it was still a great experience. The second night we stayed at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge – which was fantastic! A beautiful place with an incredible view and extremely friendly and welcoming staff. On the fourth day, we drove back to the train station. A special shoutout goes to our guide and driver William, who truly made the tour exceptional. He was super friendly, very professional, and shared so many interesting facts about the animals, the landscape and local culture. You could really tell how experienced and passionate he is. The food and overall catering were also great throughout the whole safari – tasty meals, plenty of water and snacks, everything well taken care of. Conclusion: We would do this safari again in a heartbeat. It was well organized, full of wildlife, beautiful scenery and great accommodation. Highly recommended!
