Visit cancelled 18 hours before visit without any reason.

After careful searching we booked and paid this visit the 1st of July to have it on the 10th of July. The same day the reservation was confirmed with number 1153292979 by Viator. And then the 9th July, just 18 hours before the visit, it was cancelled without any reason by email. When I'm on holiday, I try to look at my email as less as possible. We got our money back, but if I cancel it 18 (!!!) hours before the start without, I do not get my money back. Terrible experience.

Nice tour to sample Porto's wines and ports.

The tour itself was very good. We were taken to 2 store fronts in Porto and a store called Meia Duzia- A Taste of Portugal. The first place we went was called Cibinho. We were taken upstairs where there were tasting tables. There was a small charcuterie board with cheeses, hams, olives and bread waiting for us. We were not served wine tastings here, we were served glasses of wine! The first wine we tried was a delicious green wine that had frozen grapes in the bottom of our wine glass. We then tried a white wine and then a red wine from the Duoro Valley region. All were delicious. We left there and were taken to a store called Meia Duzia. We had never seen a store like this. They sold food items in tubes that looked like toothpaste tubes. They had jams, olive pastes and flavored chocolates. They gave us a little spoon and let us taste as many as we wanted. Of course we bought several tubes to take home. We left there and went to Lado Wines. They had a small table set up on the street and the owner brought ports out to us to taste. We tasted a regular port wine, 2 delicious tawny's and a ruby port. They would ship wines home, so we bought some wine and port here and had them shipped. We purchased this tour through Viator, so we didn't get to pick our guide. When you purchase a tour directly from Portugal with a Local, you do get to choose. Our guide Carolina was very nice, but she wasn't a good match for us. We like a guide that is constantly giving us information about where we are, the history that surrounds us, how the people live their lives today, the culture of the city, etc.... Carolina wasn't like that. She was very low key. She answered our questions readily enough, but didn't offer up conversation. If we didn't ask something, she didn't talk. Overall, this was a great tour.

    Wonderful!

Bernardo was wonderful! So passionate about his native Porto and a great history buff. Delicious wines and tapas. Loved meandering through the medieval streets.

3 table wines & 5 Port wines + Tapas: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.

How much does 3 table wines & 5 Port wines + Tapas cost?

    +

Prices start at $77 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3 table wines & 5 Port wines + Tapas take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.

Is 3 table wines & 5 Port wines + Tapas worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3 table wines & 5 Port wines + Tapas?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3 table wines & 5 Port wines + Tapas suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 3 table wines & 5 Port wines + Tapas?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3 table wines & 5 Port wines + Tapas start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Porto?

    +

On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Porto?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Porto?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
