    About this experience

Tuk tuk tour, explaining and enjoying the beautiful streets and monuments of the city of Porto. Passing along the banks of the Douro River, we visit the main points of the city. We visited the cathedral of Porto, the beautiful and magnificent São Bento station, Torre dos Clérigos, among others. Wonderful walk through the small neighborhoods of Porto and its narrow streets with information about the entire city. Glass of port wine, not to be missed. We provided gel alcohol, for hand disinfection, against covid-19.

    Never showed up

Never showed up waited for 45 mins ended up booking another tour very disappointed. Had to scout out another tour at booth on the street, more expensive and not quite the same. Contacted tour guide argued with us, but I took photos of where we were standing waiting so got a refund

Response from the operator: My lady. Without disrespecting you, you didn't even respond to the messages I sent. I was there for 45 minutes but I was waiting for you and you never showed up. I received the message that you only arrived in my city around 6 pm. These messages are recorded by Viator. It's very bad to defame services since you were the ones who were to blame and didn't even show up. Limit yourself to complying with your skills and not mistreating the people whose work day you ruined.

    Amazing experience

Our guide was very knowledgeable as he was born and raised in Porto. Going down little streets that no bus/coach could take you. He allowed us plenty of time to visit the churches/museums, advising us which was a good one to visit. Our trip took us to both side of the river. We went to a beautiful garden where we were treated to the local wine. This was definitely worth the money and 3.5 hour journey. We saw alot more than we were expecting and would absolutely recommend doing this experience. In fact if I go back I would do this trip again.

    BUYER BEWARE! Fake promises

BEWARE! This is probably the worst tour we took in our two week Portugal vacation. The web page shows fake pictures, as it includes pictures of traditional tuk tuks, and we got two reconverted electricar cars and one traditional tuk tuk, which also arrived late. Then, as we arrived, we were told that tuk tuks are not allowed into Portos historical quarter since October so we had to walk in some points. This is not said in the web page, nor it was told before we arrived at the appointed place, even though the operator contacted me the day before to confirm. We ended up walking for about 50% of the tour, and my father has limited mobility as he is 79 and has bad knees. Furthermore, the guides were not particularly knowledgeable, and showed little enthusiasm during the tour. Do yourself and your companions a favor and skip this underwhelming tour that does not deliver as promised.

Response from the operator: This gentleman is not aware of what a tuk tuk really is in my country. These tuk tuk are approved by my country, they are original and not converted. In addition to your knowledge being zero in this profession. In continuation, this gentleman paid for the tour, he was warned that we are in court with the Porto City Council and that we could not do the whole tour inside the historic center. Now this gentleman says we don't notice anything about Porto. We are local guides with training and we perceive it well and explain better for those who really want to pay and not after doing the tour want to be reimbursed just because. If you want to pay and then ask for a refund like this gentleman, then please don't choose this service. In addition, we still left you in the place where you wanted to stay. I consider my service very good and 5 stars. There really are more people in our world.

Perfect way to see the city

This was a perfect way to see Porto! Our guide Sergio showed us all the cool spots in the city. We loved the photo worthy spots such as the monasteries and the cathedral, and climbing up the cathedral’s tower.

3h30 tour in Porto by Tuk Tuk: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.

How much does 3h30 tour in Porto by Tuk Tuk cost?

    +

Prices start at $98 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3h30 tour in Porto by Tuk Tuk take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.

Is 3h30 tour in Porto by Tuk Tuk worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3h30 tour in Porto by Tuk Tuk?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3h30 tour in Porto by Tuk Tuk suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 3h30 tour in Porto by Tuk Tuk?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3h30 tour in Porto by Tuk Tuk start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Porto?

    +

On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Porto?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Porto?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
