    Bad Experience

We arrived 5 minutes early and were told to “wait outside.” The event was so crowded that we were pushed into a corner and could barely see what was happening. Both sauces and parts of desert were prepared on arrival so we didn’t participate in making anything except to roll a handful of macaroni. The event is advertised as participant’s actually making the dinner when all we did was watch others and do one part of the process. Dinner was rushed and the host made continuous remarks about tourists- not very welcoming. Having been to another Tortalloni making class earlier that week, the contrast was stark. Fortunately, we learned how to make Tortalloni somewhere else because although it is in the ad- there was no mention of it at this event. In addition, appetizers that were advertised never appeared either. The good thing was the unlimited wine which is probably why people don’t complain more. We left so quick that I forgot my phone there. When I called the host, he said he was leaving for dinner and we had to plead with him to wait for us. Look for better options than this tour. They are surely out there and make sure to book through a reliable third party so you can get a refund for services promised and not rendered.

Response from the operator: hahahha my drunk friend who was so unpolite and could not even find the cab i call since she was wasted hhaha

    Stay Hungry Stay Away

Suuuuuch a fraud!!! Emphasis on the ‘stay hungry ’ - indeed I did stay hungry. Creepy man in his small apartment. Kept on coming back to promoting his dear old grandmother’s pasta maker and breadboard that have been apparently handed down generations etc (however are both completely spotless.. thus seeking this false ‘family oriented’ narrative). Nothing else to say than just such a fraud. Further, he tries to sell you his wines. So weird, just like a business endeavour to customers that have already paid a lot for such poor service. There are so many more qualified courses I’m sure, save yourself the trouble… I’ll expect I’ll get met with an overly aggressive response that’s all confused in it’s phrasing and misspelt haha. Sorry pal good luck Ps: there are a few of this specific tour out there, look carefully, for example this one and “Pasta Making Class with Tiramisu and Unlimited Wine Tasting” is also his.

Response from the operator: im glad you had a good time whoever you are genius!!!!!! love you and your donation :) yes my apt is sooo smallll its 200 meters LOL I did not know i ve host a blind person in my class ahah

    Cooking fun!

So much fun at the stayhungrystaybologna cooking class with Federico. Matty and I and a bunch of great people all enjoyed the wine, the company and the fun, relaxed way to learn how to make traditional pasta and dessert. Chef Fred made us all feel at home, allowing us to get involved and went through all the steps with ease! We were sent home with full bellies, all the recipes and smiles on our faces. Great way to spend your time in Bologna, would highly recommend and do it all again next time we are in Italy. Ragu the cat 🐈, a pleasure meeting you too!

Response from the operator: thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!

Bologna Cooking Class - 3 pastas, tiramisu & unlimited wine

Chef Frederico was absolutely fantastic and incredibly accommodating. From the moment we booked, he was responsive, helpful, and flexible, even managing to host a larger group than he normally would. The class itself was brilliant. Everyone was fully involved, and we learned so much about making pasta in a fun, relaxed way. Chef Frederico is warm, funny, and a truly wonderful host, and his cat Ragù was an added highlight! Thank you for such a flawless 10/10 experience. I would highly recommend booking this class if you’re visiting Bologna.

Response from the operator: thanks a lot!! it was the biggest group ever and lots of fun girls :)

I can make my own pasta!!

We were fortunate in that we only had the 4 of us in the class. We all got plenty of hands on experience with the pasta. The sauces can’t be made in an hour and we appreciated that we could enjoy our homemade pasta right away. The tiramisu was fun and different. We all enjoyed it and what we learned.

Response from the operator: thanks a lot it was a pleasure to host!

3 Pasta, Ragu',Tiramisu and Unlimited wine tasting: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bologna.

How much does 3 Pasta, Ragu',Tiramisu and Unlimited wine tasting cost?

    +

Prices start at $97 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bologna usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3 Pasta, Ragu',Tiramisu and Unlimited wine tasting take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bologna is not rushed.

Is 3 Pasta, Ragu',Tiramisu and Unlimited wine tasting worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 174 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bologna, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Pasta, Ragu',Tiramisu and Unlimited wine tasting?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3 Pasta, Ragu',Tiramisu and Unlimited wine tasting suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 3 Pasta, Ragu',Tiramisu and Unlimited wine tasting?

    +

Around 61 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bologna can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bologna and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3 Pasta, Ragu',Tiramisu and Unlimited wine tasting start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bologna within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bologna?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bologna experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bologna Local Pasta Cooking Class, Ragu, Spritz, Wine & Gelato, Bologna Food Experience: Factory tours & Lunch By Italian Days, Small Group Bologna Food Tour – Local Food & Market Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bologna?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bologna?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
