Maasai Mara & Lake Nakuru - fantastic trip
4 day safari - 3 nights. 2 nights in Ilkelani Camp Maasai Mara and 1 night in the Cliff Lake Nakuru. Isaac was our guide for the whole trip - he was fantastic. We saw the big five twice and enjoyed breakfast and lunch in the bush. He also picked us up in Nairobi and dropped us back with no fuss. Both camps were stunning and super close to the safari. Would highly recommend this tour company and Isaac as a guide!

Great, communicative tour operator
My 3-night Masai Mara safari with Trav-Interactive was absolutely fantastic. From start to finish, John did a great job communicating the different package options, payment, and answering any questions I had. I was able to confirm that Trav was a member of the TRA on their website. John was also able to customize a package for me from their standard options. David picked me up on time on the day of the safari from my hotel on time and was waiting for me at the airport to send me back to my hotel despite the plane being late. The safari itself was amazing. I was able to see almost every animal in Masai Mara that I wanted (except the leopard and rhino, those are hard to find!). My game driver, Gabriel, was also very friendly, enthusiastic, and skilled at finding animals. Because it was low season, I was luckily upgraded to the Little Zebra Plains Camp, which was a very comfortable camp with very friendly staff, great food, a very nice tent, and a nice communal area with a bonfire and amazing stargazing. If I had to complain, I would say that the Wi-Fi at the camp was effectively non-functional and the water you use to shower is salt water, so your hair will be sticky if you wash your hair. However, these problems are mitigated by very good 4G cell service (so you can still do basic work if needed) and ample free bottled drinking water (that you can wash your hair with). I would not consider these problems to be serious, and personally, I did not feel they detracted from my enjoyment of my safari. All-in-all, I would 100% recommend going with Trav Interactive to book a safari and would absolutely book with them again the next time I come!

Trip of a lifetime!
My husband and our two daughters (18 & 20) visited Hell's Gate where we did a bicycle safari and we had a most extraordinary guide, Meshak, who showed us zebras, giraffes, and water buffaloes amongst other wildlife. Then we hiked in the Ol Njorowa Gorge and he showed us the breathtaking gorge, its flora and fauna and the surprising hot and cold waters. He took these beautuful photos of our girls. He is a very talented photographer and I'm sure we will use the photos for our next Christmas cards! He was extremely knowledgeable and tons of fun! At Lake Nakuru we had another fantastic guide, Timothy who had a very special gift to find all the animals in the park. We saw white and black rhinos and four lions amongst other animals! He was such a fantastic person to spend the time with; extremely knowledgeable and kind! At Maasai Maara our guide was a maasai warrior, Ben, with an extraordinary keen knack of finding wildlife. We saw the big five, the ugly five and many, many more! We saw a lioness hunting a giraffe (unsuccessfully) as the adult giraffes shielded the baby; we saw a leopard climbing a tree to its dead pray, we were in the middle of an elephant herd once who had some babies! The giraffes, lions and cheetahs were so close to us you could see their breath in the morning! I had to pinch myself every day to make sure I was really there and it was not just a dream! One of my favorite days was when we saw the full circle of life: A cheetah eating a Thompson gazelle for breakfast to a newly born Thompson gazelle in the afternoon! We were again in the midst of a herd of elephants, saw hoppos, osriches, lions and a Nile crocodile! Our Maasai warrior guide Ben was spectacular! Once we visited a maasai village and took a nature walk with a few maasai warriors who were so knowledgeable and eager to share their culture with us! We danced with them too and bought their beautiful bead jewelry from the women at the market. We had the trip of a lifetime! I cried all the way back on the plane to Nairibi. I did not want to leave this magical place. I could not believe I had the good fortune to get to share this experience with my husband and my girls.

Amazing guides for a fabulous safari
Our experience with Trav-Interactive was fantastic! They were very responsive on WhatsApp and they helped tailor the safari to our needs and budget. Our guides were Ben and Issac and we couldn’t have asked for a better pair. They were right on time to pick us up at our hotel in Nairobi and we always felt safe with them.. They were both Masaai, so they knew the park like the back of their hand. We were typically the first car to arrive wherever the big animal was. We had so much fun and also learned a lot from them about the traditional way of life and how modernity is making its way into the villages as well. I would happily spend another 5 days on safari with Ben and Issac. I highly recommend Trav-Interactive to help arrange your Kenyan adventure.

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3 nights exclusive Masai Mara safari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.
How much does 3 nights exclusive Masai Mara safari cost?
+
Prices start at $1650 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3 nights exclusive Masai Mara safari take?
+
Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.
Is 3 nights exclusive Masai Mara safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3 nights exclusive Masai Mara safari?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3 nights exclusive Masai Mara safari suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 3 nights exclusive Masai Mara safari?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3 nights exclusive Masai Mara safari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nairobi?
+
On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 days group joining safari to Maasai Mara with a Land Cruiser Jeep, 1 Day trip to Hells Gate and optional Lake Naivasha From Nairobi, Nairobi Masai village Day Tour Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nairobi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nairobi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
