Guided Cooking Class - no show by operator

I purchased ticket but operator did not turn up. Phone number is not operational when I tried to contact them. Had to request refund from Viator.

Recommended! Learn to cook Cambodian food 😋

Highly recommend this activity while in Siem Reap. Delicious food - I chose to make the fresh rice paper rolls, Somla Kits (a fish & eggplant coconut milk curry), and banana coconut milk dessert. To start, our tuk tuk driver took us to the local market to browse through all the fresh produce, fish (fresh from the largest freshwater lake in South-East Asia, Tonlé Sap), meats, birds, eggs, snails (French influence in Cambodian cuisine) etc. Definitely something to experience and see how the average person gets their food. I then learnt from the lovely Dee on how to cook these beautiful, fresh dishes, with so much taste! Loved all of them, and hoping to try out when back home too ❤️👌 Hot work in this tropical heat, so loved sitting down to enjoy the meal.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the cooking class and had such a great experience at the local market. Dee is indeed a fantastic teacher, and it’s great to know you loved the dishes you made. We’re glad you embraced the heat and took the time to savor your meal afterwards. We can’t wait to see you back in Siem Reap for more culinary adventures! Safe travels and happy cooking at home! ❤️👌

Best experience!

Doing the cooking class with Dee was the best idea we had in Cambodja! She tought us about the fresh ingredients we needed to cook the chosen dishes we wanted to cook, and we collected the fresh ingredients in her food-garden. It was so interesting. Later, we started cooking the dishes. She helped us all the time and explained how we had to cook it. She took photos of us, and then she sent us the recipies we were cooking. Later, we enjoyed the dishes we cooked eating in the porch. I really recommend the experience!

Response from the operator: Thank you for the glowing review! We’re thrilled to hear that the cooking class with Dee was the highlight of your trip. It’s fantastic that you enjoyed learning about fresh ingredients, collecting them from the garden, and then cooking with Dee’s guidance. The added touches of taking photos and sending you the recipes are such thoughtful details. We’re so glad you enjoyed the experience and your delicious meal on the porch. Your recommendation means a lot to us—thank you!

3-Hour Siem Reap Guided Cooking Class and Market with Pick up: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does 3-Hour Siem Reap Guided Cooking Class and Market with Pick up cost?

+

Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3-Hour Siem Reap Guided Cooking Class and Market with Pick up take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is 3-Hour Siem Reap Guided Cooking Class and Market with Pick up worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Hour Siem Reap Guided Cooking Class and Market with Pick up?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3-Hour Siem Reap Guided Cooking Class and Market with Pick up suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 3-Hour Siem Reap Guided Cooking Class and Market with Pick up?

+

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3-Hour Siem Reap Guided Cooking Class and Market with Pick up start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

+

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
