Fantastic small-group trip with real respect for the wildlife
We had a fantastic trip aboard Namada and it was easily one of the highlights of our holiday. The boat was clean and very well maintained, and the captain was friendly and knowledgeable. What we particularly appreciated was that he wasn't intrusive — he gave us interesting information when appropriate but also allowed everyone to relax, take in the scenery and just enjoy the experience without constantly talking to us. The boat takes a maximum of 11 guests and there were 9 people on our trip. We found this so much more enjoyable than being on one of the larger boats or catamarans. It felt relaxed, personal and never crowded. We didn't see any dolphins on our trip, but we saw plenty of pilot whales and had lots of opportunities to take photos and videos. We were also really impressed by how respectful the captain was towards the wildlife. He made sure we could get close enough to have a wonderful experience without chasing the whales or staying with one pod for too long and potentially disturbing them. It was the perfect balance between getting an amazing view of the whales and respecting them in their natural environment. A fantastic few hours and a perfect day out. We'd definitely recommend Namada, especially if you'd prefer a smaller and more relaxed whale-watching experience rather than one of the large tourist boats.
Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing our company and very happy that you liked it. Looking forward to seeing you again greetings

Great whale watching trip
Great trip, great value for money and great guides. Smaller boat avoided the large groups that are off putting for families. Saw whales and had a great swim in a secluded bay.

They cancelled the trip on the day off.
We booked a trip for 13:00 but it got cancelled in the morning on the day of. They offered us an alternative (trip on a sail boat) but we already planned things for the rest of our holiday. So their alternative was not an option for us. We asked to get our money back. Also, they did not apologize which to me felt a bit off. They labeled their alternative as an "upgrade". I personally don't think it was an upgrade.
Response from the operator: We are sorry for the last-minute setback, but unfortunately there are unforeseen events that we cannot control. We offered you the same excursion on another boat, which you refused. Sincerely sorry. Best regards.

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3-hour excursion to Puerto Colón Adeje to see whales: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does 3-hour excursion to Puerto Colón Adeje to see whales cost?
+
Prices start at $51 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3-hour excursion to Puerto Colón Adeje to see whales take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is 3-hour excursion to Puerto Colón Adeje to see whales worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 58 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3-hour excursion to Puerto Colón Adeje to see whales?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3-hour excursion to Puerto Colón Adeje to see whales suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 3-hour excursion to Puerto Colón Adeje to see whales?
+
Around 20 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3-hour excursion to Puerto Colón Adeje to see whales start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
