Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru, An amazing journey
We booked this trip with Abner Safaris to visit Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. To be honest, at the end of the trip, we felt like we had some incredible times and moments. After we went on a game drive in Masai Mara, we realized that we had made the right decision. Seeing wildlife moving naturally in the vast grasslands is not like watching it on TV or YouTube, it is a completely different feeling to see it in real life. Our guide drove very patiently, did not rush us, so we were able to take our time to see the animals. The environment of Lake Nakuru was absolutely peaceful and beautiful. After the excitement of Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru was very relaxing for us. The scenery around the lake, the birds, and the peaceful environment, all in all, the place was very nice. The thing that I liked the most about the entire trip was that everything was planned very well. There was no hassle, delay or mess anywhere. Accommodation, food, car, everything was managed properly. We felt safe and comfortable the entire time. This trip was not just a trip for us, it was some beautiful time we spent together.

It was a great decision
We did a 5 day safari on a moderate budget. Great decision. All park entrance fees, breakfast, box lunch and dinner, drinking water were included. The 4x4 safari vehicle had free wifi. The accommodation at the Masai Mara hotel was excellent, and we had a wonderful morning every morning at the Mara camp there. Many thanks to our safari guide John Karanja, who made sure we had a safe journey. His driving was excellent even in difficult and adverse conditions. And because of him we got to see the Big Five in full! An amazing experience!

Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru are great safari experiences
We took part in an amazing 4 days/3 nights safari package with Abner Safaris, where we visited Maasai Mara National Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park. Accommodation was in comfortable mid-range lodges, nestled in a peaceful and beautiful setting amidst nature. The entire package included park entrance fees, set meals, the services of a professional safari guide and game drives in a 4×4 safari vehicle. Our guide Peter was very knowledgeable, friendly and very experienced with wildlife. Because of him, we were able to enjoy every moment of the safari better. The opportunity to see various wildlife up close during the game drives was truly unforgettable. Our trip was a very well planned and memorable safari experience.

Luxurious Safari!!
The quality of service at Abner Safaris is very high! It was truly a professional and customized experience that I would not have gotten anywhere else. My trip was a 3-day, luxury, tented camps safari.

Every moment was full of excitement
Our safari trip in Kenya was truly an incredible experience. A unique adventure of vast grasslands, wildlife, and the immense beauty of nature. From the moment we entered the Maasai Mara National Reserve, it felt like we were in a living National Geographic documentary. The vast savannah all around, and the free roaming of various wildlife including lions, zebras, and gazelles in front of our eyes, every moment was full of excitement. The experience of Tsavo National Park was also different. The vastness of the park and the group of elephants roaming the red soil were truly impressive. It was a great blessing for us to get the opportunity to see this diversity of nature up close. The game drive in the safari jeep was the most exciting part of the entire trip. Thanks to the skilled guide, we were able to see the animals very closely and learn about their behavior.

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3 Days Private Maasai Mara Safari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.
How much does 3 Days Private Maasai Mara Safari cost?
+
Prices start at $2100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3 Days Private Maasai Mara Safari take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.
Is 3 Days Private Maasai Mara Safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Days Private Maasai Mara Safari?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 144 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3 Days Private Maasai Mara Safari suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 3 Days Private Maasai Mara Safari?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3 Days Private Maasai Mara Safari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nairobi?
+
On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 days group joining safari to Maasai Mara with a Land Cruiser Jeep, 1 Day trip to Hells Gate and optional Lake Naivasha From Nairobi, Nairobi Masai village Day Tour Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nairobi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nairobi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
