Budget safari that gets you to the animals

4.5, based upon viewing animals at the park. This not a luxury safari, it is pretty grimy, bumpy and dirty adventure. Not the fault of the tour or guide, but the Kenyans have chose to not provide little or none road support for the park and beyond. For 40 or 50 miles to the Park you are driving on dirt road that is almost impassable. At one point we were on narrow mounds with four or 5 foot ruts all around us for 1/2 mile. If we had slippiied of that narrow patway that would have been it for teh vehicle. Four bridges were basically washed out and to get to what was left, we were going down 35 percent to 40 percent grades with basically a narrow path. We had a three veteran with 3 tours in Afagainstan and he indicated the roads were worse than there and he felt that his Chevy 4 wheeler truck would not be able to make it through. To the drivers (David) credit he did and fast. They use 2 wheel drive Toyota. If it is wet out I do not think we could have made, thank God it was dry for the most part. In the Park conditions were similar but we got around. Very muddy conditions and lack of road maintenance. TOUR, the driver David I cannot complain about he is a Man of few words. He was on his CB mic talking with the other drivers and take us to where the animals are we were able view some rare events animal kills and cheetahs feeding with five cubs. He was able to get us through some wild mud pits. We pulled out one vehicle from the mud. If your there to see animals he definitely is your guy. Better be not faint of heart your in for a ride. When other tours could not find any animals we were viewing quite a few. LODGING Pretty gritty food is really basic prepare for that, probably should stop at supermarket and get things you like. We did that and I preferred eating that. Tents OK. No internet. 3 hours electric at night. CONCLUSION If you like to see animals this tour with David will get you there.

Response from the operator: Dear Paul, Thank you for the wonderful review. We are really grateful that the experience was worth it with every service that was given .We are so so grateful for recommending our guide David for being very professional and of assistant most importantly for making sure that you enjoy the safari. We do hope that another tour sends you or your friends back to us and we meet again and create more memories.

3 Days Masai Mara Group Joining -- Daily Departures: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.

How much does 3 Days Masai Mara Group Joining -- Daily Departures cost?

+

Prices start at $229 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3 Days Masai Mara Group Joining -- Daily Departures take?

+

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.

Is 3 Days Masai Mara Group Joining -- Daily Departures worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Days Masai Mara Group Joining -- Daily Departures?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3 Days Masai Mara Group Joining -- Daily Departures suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 3 Days Masai Mara Group Joining -- Daily Departures?

+

Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3 Days Masai Mara Group Joining -- Daily Departures start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nairobi?

+

On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 days group joining safari to Maasai Mara with a Land Cruiser Jeep, 1 Day trip to Hells Gate and optional Lake Naivasha From Nairobi, Nairobi Masai village Day Tour Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nairobi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nairobi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
