Great tour

Mahi trip to Merzouga dessert was a great experience. First of all I need to compliment Hani for being so patient with us getting lost in Medina. He came to fetch us and also gave us a new sim card for our phone. The dessert trip was a bit exhausting for us oldies, but we managed just fine. I wish that the driver had a bit more English for better communication. The camel ride was lots of fun and the vistas were magnificent. The camp exceeded our expectations, the tent was super comfortable and so was the food. We continued to Fes which was a very long drive but the driver made many stops . Overall a great trip and high recommendationds for Mahi tours!

Response from the operator: Salam, Thank you very much for your kind and detailed feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your Merzouga desert excursion, especially the camel ride, the beautiful landscapes, and the comfort of the camp. Thank you as well for your constructive comment regarding the driver’s English — this helps us improve our services. The whole Mahi Tours team truly appreciates your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you again in Morocco. Hassan

Great Experience

We can certainly recommend this agency! Mahi organized the desert trip for us with the options and price that we required. Hani at the office was very accommodating , he even went to find us when we were lost in Medina and helped us with our phone problems. Great, although tireing trip for us ( seniors). Thank you again, great experience!!!! Irena and Brad from Ottawa, Canada

Response from the operator: Salam Irena&Brad! We’re delighted you enjoyed your desert trip and that our team could make your journey special. It was a real pleasure having you in Marrakech. Good luck Mahi Hassan

Excellent trip to Morocco

The organization of the tour was excellent: Mr. Hassan was very kind and qualified. He did his best to show us beautiful places explaining about local traditions and history of the places we encountered during our trip. The camel ride was fantastic like the bivouac in Merzouga and the Kasba des Roses. Of course Ouarzazate and the Kasba of Taourit were fascinating. We really suggest this travel company, Moroccan Mahi trip, that gave us an added value to our experience in Morocco

Response from the operator: Salam Merci pour votre avis favorable et j'espère vous revoir prochainement. Je vous souhaite bonne chance. Hassan

Excellant

Hello, I have just gone on the Merzouga Desert exercusion with Moroccan Mahi Travel and we had the pleasure of being escorted with Hassan Bhai. We were two families and we were travelling along with kids, and Hassan Bhai really has a way of being able to deal with kids and people in general and made it a very enjoyable trip for all of us. I thoroughly recommend Moroccan Mahi Travel for the oncoming travellers. Hassan Bhai is one of the most welcoming people that you will come across and he has given us a lot of love, affection and care during the trip and has made us feel during every moment of the trip. He had really gone out of his way to make us feel comfortable in a new environment. Hassan Bhai is an amazing man and we had gotten so used to seeing him in the morning that it was difficult to think he wasn't there when we were leaving. He really has become a part of our family and we are grateful to him for making our trip an unforgettable one. Shukran Hassan Bhai.

Response from the operator: Salam, sincerely to this day I can't believe you left. Really the days we spent together were incredible and unforgettable because you were two amazing families. I hope to meet you again and I wish you happiness and success in your life. A big salam to all the members of these two families.

3 Days Excursion into Merzouga Desert: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does 3 Days Excursion into Merzouga Desert cost?

+

Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3 Days Excursion into Merzouga Desert take?

+

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is 3 Days Excursion into Merzouga Desert worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 35 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Days Excursion into Merzouga Desert?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3 Days Excursion into Merzouga Desert suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 3 Days Excursion into Merzouga Desert?

+

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3 Days Excursion into Merzouga Desert start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
