Dissapointing!!!!
We booked a safari to Amboseli with Perfect Safaris several months in advance and paid a deposit. Unfortunately, what should have been an amazing experience turned into an extremely stressful and, above all, unsafe experience. We were supposed to be picked up from our apartment in Nairobi at 8:00 AM. At 8:00 AM, we had heard absolutely nothing from the company. After trying to contact them ourselves, we eventually had to take a taxi at around 1:00 PM to meet our driver ourselves. When we arrived, we discovered that the battery of the safari vehicle was broken. Despite this, we were expected to continue our journey in the vehicle. At one point, we even had to push the car to get it started. From the very beginning, we did not feel safe. Once we entered Amboseli National Park, the vehicle broke down again. Our driver, Amoz, had to wait for other drivers to help us. Even after the car was running again, we did not feel safe with him. He drove in a dangerous manner and, in our opinion, took completely unnecessary risks around wildlife. At one point, he drove far too close to an angry elephant. We were also told to switch vehicles approximately 10 metres away from a lion. We found this extremely frightening and irresponsible. The following day, we went into the park with a different driver, and the experience was completely different. It was a relief and showed us that it is absolutely possible to provide a safe and professional safari experience. Unfortunately, the problems continued afterwards. On the day we were supposed to be taken to a train station a transfer that was already included in and paid for as part of our trip we were threatened with not being taken there unless we paid additional money. During this journey, we nearly had an accident twice. Our driver was driving at approximately 100 km/h on dirt roads. When we confronted him and told him that we did not feel safe, his response was essentially that we could either get out of the car or accept that he was going to continue driving that way. The communication with Perfect Safaris was also extremely disappointing. We were repeatedly hung up on, nobody seemed willing to take responsibility, and we were given no meaningful solution. We are still trying to get in contact with Paul, the owner, but so far we have received no proper response. A safari should be a special and unforgettable experience. Unfortunately, ours was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. We felt unsafe, ignored and completely left on our own by a company that was supposed to be responsible for our safety and transportation. We would strongly advise others to think twice before booking with Perfect Safaris. Safety should always be the absolute priority when operating safari tours, and unfortunately, that was not our experience with this company. Very disappointing and, most importantly, an experience where we genuinely did not feel safe.

The trip of a lifetime!
This was the experience of a lifetime. I was completing a medical volunteer program & decided to visit Amboseli at the end of my trip. I was warmly welcomed by my driver, Samuel, who was an eager teacher on all things Amboseli & Kenya (and I learned a bit of Kiswahili to boot)! Highly recommended tour & it made many unforgettable memories. Asante sana!

Amazing!
Our tour guide, Kevin, made this trip truly amazing. He took care of everything, he knew the best spots for animals. We saw hippos, lions, elephants, baby elephants, black buffalo’s, impalas, gazelle, zebras, giraffes, flamingos, gnus, pumbas, and different types of birds. On the first day it was cloudy, so we didn’t have luck to see Kilimanjaro, but luckily at the end of the second day the sun came out and majestic Kilimanjaro was out - unforgettable view. If you are considering visiting Amboseli, you have to do it with Kevin.

An animal oasis!
An amazing trip! So many animals! Our guide was excellent with all kinds of information on the park and the animals. We even got a clear view of Kilimanjaro the morning we left. A perfect end to our time in Kenya!
