Peaceful Safari with Unique Animals
This three-day safari has been much more enjoyable than I expected. It's a long way from Nairobi, but I've had the opportunity to stop and see the scenery occasionally. As soon as I entered Samburu, I began to see special animals - gerenuk eating leaves from the high branches of trees, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich. One morning, I saw a herd of crocodiles and elephants together near the river. The guide explained the nature of the animals and the characteristics of the area in a very simple way. In the afternoon the whole reserve turned golden in the light of the sunset. The atmosphere of the camp is calm, it's good to spend time sitting by the fire at night. Breakfast was good and clean. There is no crowd like Masai Mara, so the animals can be seen comfortably. I would recommend this trip to those who are looking for a different kind of safari.
Response from the operator: Thank you Levi for sharing your experience with Bencia Africa Adventure & Safaris! We’re glad you enjoyed your three-day Samburu safari and got to see some of the unique wildlife, including the gerenuk, Beisa oryx, and Somali ostrich. It’s great to hear that our guide made the experience informative and enjoyable, and that you appreciated the beautiful sunset and peaceful atmosphere at the camp. Thank you for recommending Samburu to other travelers. We look forward to welcoming you on another safari in Kenya.

Beautiful Scenery and Amazing Wildlife
A truly magical experience! The road from Nairobi to Samburu was a bit long, but the scenery was beautiful. The guide was very experienced and saw almost all of the Special Five (Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich). I saw a big herd of elephants and a crocodile near the river. Accommodation was good as well. There are so many adventures available in a short time - that's the biggest plus.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We’re glad you enjoyed the journey to Samburu, the beautiful scenery, and the incredible wildlife, especially the Special Five and the large herd of elephants. We’re happy you also enjoyed the accommodation and made the most of your time in Samburu. Thank you for choosing Bencia Africa Adventure & Safaris. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure.

Beautiful Wildlife and Quiet Moments in Samburu
This 3-day trip to Samburu National Reserve was a completely different experience for me. After coming out of Nairobi in the morning to see the change in the hilly areas and dry land along the way, the mind became calm. The first thing that came to mind after entering the reserve was the contrast of red soil and doum palm. On a morning game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River, I saw a large herd of elephants wading in the water. The little elephants among them were splashing water as they played - a sight I had watched for a long time. Later, a leopard was resting in the shade of a tree, carefully pointed out by the guide from a distance. In the evening the whole area becomes golden in the light of the sunset, at that time the sound of the birds and the sound of the wind create a strange peaceful atmosphere. The camp was very quiet at night. The food was home-style, especially the morning tea and fresh fruits. As the crowd was less, I got more opportunities to get closer to the animals. This is a great option for those who want to stay close to nature in a quiet environment.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much Victor for sharing such a beautiful and detailed review of your Samburu safari! We’re delighted to know that you enjoyed the peaceful landscapes, the red soil and doum palms, and especially the unforgettable sight of the elephants playing along the Ewaso Nyiro River and the leopard resting under the tree. We’re also happy to hear that you enjoyed the quiet camp, home-style meals, and the more intimate experience that Samburu offers. Your kind words mean a lot to our team, and we’re grateful that you chose Bencia Africa Adventure and Safaris to experience this special part of Kenya. We hope to welcome you again for another memorable safari.

Rare Wildlife and Incredible Safari Moments
We are very satisfied with this 3-day Samburu Safari. After starting my journey from Nairobi and reaching Samburu National Reserve, I felt like going to another world. I was fascinated by reticulated giraffes, Grévy's zebras and gerenukes - they are rarely seen in other parks. The knowledge and patience of the guide was amazing, he explained the behavior and characteristics of each animal very nicely... The game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River and the sunset are truly unforgettable. Accommodation was comfortable and the food was good. Due to less crowd, I was able to get closer to the wild animals. This is an excellent option for those who want a quiet and secluded experience.

3-Day Samburu safari from Nairobi: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.
How much does 3-Day Samburu safari from Nairobi cost?
+
Prices start at $569 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3-Day Samburu safari from Nairobi take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.
Is 3-Day Samburu safari from Nairobi worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Day Samburu safari from Nairobi?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3-Day Samburu safari from Nairobi suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 3-Day Samburu safari from Nairobi?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3-Day Samburu safari from Nairobi start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nairobi?
+
On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Wild 5-Day Safari: Magical Mara, Nakuru Wonders & Hell's Gate, 2 Days Amboseli Safari using a 4x4 Landcruiser jeep(with options), Kibera Slum Tour with Lucas. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nairobi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nairobi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

+
