Low season: surpassed our expectations
After a lengthy search for a tour operator, we decided to book with African Home Adventure who we felt had the best communication and value for money as we went for the budget package. The whole experience however didnt at all feel budget! Accomdation was lovely clean and comfortable. Even though the lodge is situated right next to the safari we slept well. Our guide Jared was great! Knowledgeable, funny and nice to be around. Communication with Albert was also very pleasant and from our chats with Jared seems to be a stand out guy. We managed to see more animals than we anticipate. We were even one of the first to be at the site of where the rare leopard was sighted. Back at camp we realised not everyone was so lucky so a massive thank you Albert and Jared for organising such a fantastic experience
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We’re truly glad you chose to travel with African Home Adventure after your search—and even happier that your experience exceeded expectations, especially on a budget package. It’s great to hear that the accommodation, comfort, and overall experience didn’t feel “budget” at all. That’s exactly what we aim for—delivering real value without compromising on quality. We’re especially pleased that Jared made your safari both enjoyable and memorable. His knowledge, energy, and personality are a big part of what makes each trip special. What an incredible moment to be among the first to spot that rare leopard—those are the kinds of experiences that stay with you. Thank you as well for your kind words about Albert. We’ll be sure to share your feedback with both of them—they’ll truly appreciate it. We’re grateful for your trust and hope to welcome you back again for another unforgettable safari.

July Safari
We were a little hesitant as we had booked direct from the UK, but we needn’t have been. We had an amazing trip in July, Jared our guide was brilliant and had a wealth of knowledge of the Masai and animals. Saw loads of animals, the kids loved it.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your very positive and exciting feedback. I am happy that your little anxiety before the safari was alleviated after you began the safari with Jared. He enjoyed his time with you while he shared his knowledge about the park. I am glad that you saw many animals in the park. The Masai Mara has a lot of wildlife to see as well as beautiful landscapes that stretch throughout the park. There is never enough to see in the Mara. Feel free to visit with us even in the future when you decide to come back to Kenya.

3 day and 2 night Masai Mara safari
We’ve just returned from an incredible 3-day, 2-night safari with African Home Adventures, and it exceeded all our expectations. Albert, who handled our booking, was extremely helpful and efficient—he provided several tailored options, helping us choose the perfect safari for our needs. Our guide and driver, Jared, was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and the park. We spent one and a half days in the Masai Mara, starting with a late afternoon game drive followed by a full day exploring the park. Thanks to Jared’s expertise and coordination with other guides (and a bit of luck!), we were fortunate to see lions, cheetahs, a leopard, elephants, and massive herds of buffalo and wildebeest. Jared’s driving skills were excellent both on the open road and across the rugged terrain of the Mara. He truly made the trip unforgettable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review. We're delighted your safari exceeded expectations. Albert's tailored booking service and Jared's knowledge, coordination with other guides, and positioning skills made all the difference. We're glad you experienced such incredible wildlife in the Masai Mara. Thank you for your recommendation. We'd love to welcome you back for another adventure!

The Perfect Safari Experience with Jared in the Mara
We spent three amazing days with Jared in the Masai Mara at the beginning of June, and honestly, he made the whole trip even better. He was super kind, easygoing, and always paid attention to what we needed—whether it was a quick change of plans or just making sure we were having a good time. Jared was really respectful during the game drives, clearly passionate about nature and wildlife. He’s also a great driver, which made us feel safe and relaxed even on the bumpiest roads. It felt like we were in great hands the whole time. The place we stayed, Plain Zebras, was also really nice—cozy, clean, and surrounded by nature. It was the perfect base for our safari adventure. All in all, it was a special experience, and Jared played a huge part in making it so memorable. We'd definitely recommend him to anyone heading to the Mara!
Response from the operator: Dear Fernando, Thank you for writing about your safari experience with us. We had a really exciting time offering this service to you, from the point of booking to drop-off at your hotel on the last day. I commend your spirit of adventure which you carried with you during the entire safari. Jared was equally happy to be your Guide. Thanks to your commendable attitude his work was even easier and fun. We are very excited to have you back in Kenya should you decide to come visit with us again. We are looking forward to it. Cheers.

Why this scores 79
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3-Day Masai Mara Safari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.
How much does 3-Day Masai Mara Safari cost?
+
Prices start at $735 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3-Day Masai Mara Safari take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.
Is 3-Day Masai Mara Safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 55 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Day Masai Mara Safari?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3-Day Masai Mara Safari suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 3-Day Masai Mara Safari?
+
Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3-Day Masai Mara Safari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nairobi?
+
On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 days group joining safari to Maasai Mara with a Land Cruiser Jeep, 1 Day trip to Hells Gate and optional Lake Naivasha From Nairobi, Nairobi Masai village Day Tour Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nairobi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nairobi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
