About this experience
Join a micro-group of just 8 guests for a relaxing, rewarding and stimulating tour full of scenic diversity. Birds eye views of cities, vast farmland, famous wine regions, extinct volcanoes, coastal icons, shipwrecks, rainforests and winding cliff top roads. Add to this some great food and wine and small group of like-minded travellers and you have a very memorable 3 days. The itinerary has been carefully planned so that you will take in many different experiences while keeping the schedule at a comfortable and relaxed pace. The first part of this tour through farmland on route to Naracoorte Caves and the Coonawarra wine region is less visually spectacular and is therefore done at a faster pace to allow more time on the Great Ocean Road. Traveling in a small group of no more than 8 people will also allow you more time at places and a more personalised experience.

Great trip up the coast
This was a great trip. Cost is higher than some but it’s very small group (was just 3 on our trip) and included dinners and hotels are really top notch in the respective areas. Eddie, our driver/guide was a wealth of local knowledge and knew just when we had to leave various places to make the next attraction. The views are stunning and we saw emus, wallabies, kangaroos and koalas as well as many birds. The wallabies were right out side our room at Chris’s in Apollo Bay. If this trip fits your budget it’s a great way to get from Adelaide to Melbourne (though I think some timing works better on the reverse trip).

An adventure well worth the price!
An amazing 3 day Aussie experence. We wanted to see as much of Austrailia as possible le and this was possible the best way to do that. We were met the first morning by Pierre and we're shocked to know that we were it gor the 3 day tour. So personal! Pierre knowledge and engagement was fascinating. Although the weather turned, the trip did not. The accommodations were unbelievable. One, an English garden estate. The other, a view that probably won't be matched for the rest of the trip as our room sat hillside looking down over Appollo Bay. Parrots and walling everywhere. And a koala in the tree right in front of our room. Thank you, Pierre, for a memorable experence.

Enjoy the drive without the stress.
Great opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Great Ocean Road without the stress of driving it. Our guide Pierre was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Hi definitely made the trip even better. Tour included lovely places to stay overnight and great dinners.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind words! It was an absolute delight to show you around Great Ocean Road and beyond. Good luck with all your future travels. Kind regards, Pierre

Fab trip
Our Driver Eddie ‘went the extra mile’ to make sure we saw the designated tourist sights and also koalas, kangaroos and emus living wild. We went to places we would have driven by if travelling independently. He was knowledgeable, helpful, timely and caring for our needs. The overnight locations were amazing, too. A memorable trip.
Response from the operator: Thank you Christine for your kind words. Yes, Eddie has a big heart and always put a lot of efforts in to make sure that our valued guests gets the most out of the tour. Also, thank you for booking this tour with us. Kind regards, Pierre

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Adelaide.
How much does 3-Day Adelaide to Melbourne Tour Including the Great Ocean Road cost?

Prices start at $1125 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Adelaide usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3-Day Adelaide to Melbourne Tour Including the Great Ocean Road take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Adelaide is not rushed.
Is 3-Day Adelaide to Melbourne Tour Including the Great Ocean Road worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Adelaide, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Day Adelaide to Melbourne Tour Including the Great Ocean Road?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 144 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3-Day Adelaide to Melbourne Tour Including the Great Ocean Road suitable for kids and families?
+

How far in advance should I book 3-Day Adelaide to Melbourne Tour Including the Great Ocean Road?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Adelaide can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Adelaide and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3-Day Adelaide to Melbourne Tour Including the Great Ocean Road start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Adelaide within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Adelaide?
+
On Outty we rank every Adelaide experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Barossa Small Group Tour: Wine tasting, Lunch & Chocolate, Discover Barossa: 4 Wine Tastings, Gourmet Lunch, and Hidden Gems, Adelaide Highlights, Hahndorf & McLaren Vale Wine Tasting and Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Adelaide?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Adelaide?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
