Was not expecting to be so relaxed.
We are about to get off the boat tomorrow. From the moment of booking and asking questions everything went smoothly. What I hadn’t realised was how much I’d needed a break. There was no pressure to do any of the activities and the there was plenty. I just wanted to sit in the lounge, read and watch the world go by. Have never seen so many pelicans. Had some lovely conversations with other travellers. My dietary requirements were met well with no problems. The state room was exactly as I expected from the photos. Very comfortable and appreciated the little heater to keep the chill off. We chose not to have service each day, but papers and chocs were still left for us. Yes there are stairs, but if you do your research properly you will know how that affects you and your room. By reading some of the reviews I’d suggest that people do a bit more research so you know what you are getting. I have very much enjoyed this trip, staff and food are excellent and hope one day to do it again.

Absolutely, do not miss this amazing experience.
Absolutely amazing and relaxing. Wonderful in every way. Food top class, all staff, crew, and captain, friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble for them, and the entertainment director, Russell, the best and most versatile singer I have ever heard. This trip was an add on (thanks to our amazing travel organiser, Kirk Walpole of Melbourne) and it was definitely an absolute highlight of our Adelaide holiday. The side trips to the wool shed show, the BBQ on the banks of the river, the nocturnal tour and bushman’s breakfast were fantastic.
Response from the operator: Hi Maureen, Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re so pleased to hear your Murray Princess cruise was such a highlight of your Adelaide holiday. It’s great to know you enjoyed the food, excursions, and the warm hospitality of our crew — and we’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to Russell! We hope to welcome you back on board again soon. Warm regards, Mara

4-Night Murray River Cruise on the classic Murray Princess: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Adelaide.
How much does 4-Night Murray River Cruise on the classic Murray Princess cost?
+
Prices start at $2574 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Adelaide usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 4-Night Murray River Cruise on the classic Murray Princess take?
+
Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Adelaide is not rushed.
Is 4-Night Murray River Cruise on the classic Murray Princess worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 77 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Adelaide, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 4-Night Murray River Cruise on the classic Murray Princess?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 144 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 4-Night Murray River Cruise on the classic Murray Princess suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 120-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 4-Night Murray River Cruise on the classic Murray Princess?
+
Around 27 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Adelaide can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Adelaide and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 4-Night Murray River Cruise on the classic Murray Princess start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Adelaide within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Adelaide?
+
On Outty we rank every Adelaide experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Barossa Small Group Tour: Wine tasting, Lunch & Chocolate, Discover Barossa: 4 Wine Tastings, Gourmet Lunch, and Hidden Gems, Adelaide Highlights, Hahndorf & McLaren Vale Wine Tasting and Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Adelaide?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Adelaide?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
