A Beautiful One-Month Yoga Retreat That Truly Changed Me

I had such a wonderful experience at Nepal Yoga Home during my one-month yoga retreat. From the moment I arrived, I felt that I had come to a very special place. The whole experience was much more than simply attending yoga classes. It gave me time to slow down, reconnect with myself, and look at life from a completely different perspective. Nepal Yoga Home is in such a beautiful and peaceful location. Away from the noise and busy feeling of the city, the surroundings are calm, green and serene. Waking up each day in such an enchanting environment made the retreat feel even more meaningful. There was something very comforting about being able to practise yoga, meditate and spend time with myself in such a peaceful setting. The one-month programme gave me enough time to really settle into the routine. At first, I thought a month might feel like a long time, but by the end I honestly wished I could stay longer. The regular yoga and meditation sessions helped me become more disciplined and mindful, and I could genuinely feel a difference in myself as the weeks went by. One of the things I appreciated most was the people. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. They made me feel comfortable and looked after, while still giving me enough personal space to enjoy the retreat at my own pace. Everyone I met contributed to making the experience feel warm and genuine. And the food deserves a special mention! The meals were fresh, delicious and nourishing, and I really enjoyed having healthy food as part of my daily routine. It was lovely not having to worry about meals and simply being able to enjoy good food while focusing on the retreat. Looking back, this one-month yoga retreat was genuinely transformative for me. I came with the intention of learning and improving my yoga practice, but I left with much more than that. I feel calmer, more aware and more connected with myself. It is difficult to explain the full experience in words, but Nepal Yoga Home has certainly left a lasting impression on me. I am very grateful to the entire team for making my stay so memorable. If you are looking for a peaceful place to practise yoga, take a break from your normal routine and spend some meaningful time with yourself, I would definitely recommend Nepal Yoga Home. It was one of those experiences that I know I will remember for a very long time.

A journey to your blissful, peaceful soul!

I had the absolute privilege of completing my 200 hour YTT during the May 2026 cycle at Nepal Yoga Home. This was one of the purest and most genuine experiences with the most pure and genuine people I have ever had. I was recommended Nepal Yoga Home by a guru who actually teaches at a different school in Kathmandu, but he told me that Nepal Yoga Home currently has ‘the best teachers’, and I now understand why. The scope of the curriculum is broad and all-encompassing, and I believe that the knowledge and wisdom of the teachers is unmatched (some were the closest to nirvana I have ever seen). The Yoga Home also attracts the kindest, most open-minded and open-hearted people from around the globe, and I instantly felt at home with the group as well as everyone working at the home - you truly become a family. The environment is very comfortable - you are nestled in the jungle, surrounded by monkeys and lush greenery with a view of the Himalayas on a clear day - and the home itself is cozy and inviting. The foundational teachings allow you to develop a deeper and more authentic understanding of what it means to practice yoga and live in accordance with a yogic lifestyle, and provides you with the tools necessary to connect to your blissful and peaceful soul. I feel so very blessed to have had this impactful experience and will continue to use and build upon what I have learned for the rest of my life. All my gratitude to Shanti and whole family at Nepal Yoga Home! <3 If you are here reading these reviews, take it as a sign to take that next step on your spiritual journey and book your training/retreat at Nepal Yoga Home!

    Best experience

I recently completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training here, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, everything felt so well thought out and welcoming. The teachers were all incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, and each class felt meaningful and inspiring in its own way. A special mention to Shanti maam she was truly wonderful. Her kindness, patience, and the way she guided us made a big difference in my journey. The overall environment was just amazing. The rooms were comfortable, the services were smooth and well-organized, and the food was genuinely delicious something I looked forward to every day. What really stood out, though, was the warmth of everyone there. It didn’t just feel like a training program it felt like a community. I had such a memorable time, and I’m leaving not just with a certificate, but with so many great experiences and learnings. I’m really grateful for everything this place offered. Highly recommend!

200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training at Nepal Yoga Home (starts on 1st of everymonth): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training at Nepal Yoga Home (starts on 1st of everymonth) cost?

    +

Prices start at $2000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training at Nepal Yoga Home (starts on 1st of everymonth) take?

    +

Plan for about 504 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training at Nepal Yoga Home (starts on 1st of everymonth) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 86 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 133 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training at Nepal Yoga Home (starts on 1st of everymonth)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training at Nepal Yoga Home (starts on 1st of everymonth) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 504-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training at Nepal Yoga Home (starts on 1st of everymonth)?

    +

Around 47 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 504-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training at Nepal Yoga Home (starts on 1st of everymonth) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Kathmandu Food and Drink Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
