Padrao Dos Descobrimentos
National Monument. The architectural design is by Cottinelli Telmo and the sculptures are by Leopoldo de Almeida. In addition to the main statue of Infante Dom Henrique, the Navigator, holding a model of a caravel, on both sides of the monument's ramps there are a total of 32 figures from the history of the discoveries.

Torre de Belem
It was located on a rocky outcrop in the waters of the river, opposite the old beach of Belém, and was intended to replace the old artillery ship, anchored in that stretch, from where the fleets departed for the Indies. His works were in charge of Diogo Boitaca, who, at the time, was also directing the already advanced works of the neighboring Jerónimos Monastery.

Also called Central Tejo and built between 1908 and 1951, it represents an old thermoelectric power station that supplied electricity to Lisbon. Until 1974, the 25th of April Bridge was called Ponte Salazar. The name 25 de Abril alludes to the revolution of 25 April 1974. The works began on 5 November 1962, having been inaugurated on 6 August 1966.

Praca do Comercio
Praça do Comércio, still commonly referred to by its former name as Terreiro do Paço, is a square in downtown Lisbon, where it was the palace of the kings of Portugal for about two centuries and which today is partially occupied by some government departments. It is one of the biggest squares in Europe. It was for a long time the noble entrance to Lisbon and, on the marble steps of Cais das Colunas, coming from the river, heads of state and other prominent figures disembarked and were received. Cancelled tour last minute - terrible customer service
I signed up for a 7:30 pm boat tour and I got an email that it was cancelled at 6:47 pm. At this point I was in an Uber to the tour. No one called me, I showed up at the dock waiting for the boat. I wasted 20 minutes waiting for the boat and 40 minutes and $40 in Ubers there and back to my hotel. I couldn’t even book any other activities at this point because I missed the window waiting for this boat that didn’t go out. I promptly responded to the email I received and no one answered back. The Bloo Boat guy at the dock told me he couldn’t help me and to call the office. I called the office and asked for an Uber reimbursement and the guy said “it wasn’t his fault and the boat was cancelled hours ago” which is not true as I booked it 5:45 pm. The customer service was truly terrible, no one seemed to actually care or even offered me a reschedule or anything to make it right. Super unimpressed.

However, we would like to clarify that the tour was cancelled with due notice and a cancellation email was sent to you Unfortunately, you did not see the cancellation message before making your way to the meeting point. In our many years of operating boat tours, we have had to cancel an experience only on very rare occasions. We certainly do not take these decisions lightly, and we understand how frustrating it can be for a guest when a planned activity is cancelled. When you called our office, we spoke with you politely and explained that the cancellation had been communicated in due time and that, unfortunately, we could not be held responsible for the fact that the cancellation email had not been seen. We also promptly refunded the full amount paid for the boat tour. Once again, we sincerely apologize for the cancellation and for the inconvenience caused. We hope that, despite this situation, you enjoy the rest of your holiday here in Lisbon.

Relaxing afternoon
This is a totally relaxing way to avoid crowds and learn about Lisbon! Our crew João and Teresa were so kind and fun and informative. It was my 4 boys 25-17 favorite thing we have done in Lisbon! I found it on Viator and I can’t recommend it enough! Probably wish we had done a sunset cruise, but 3-5 was also great!
