    Didn’t meet expectations

My husband and I were excited to explore Ephesus and Pamukkale after we had done a tour of Cappadocia. The tour manager maintained good communication for the coordination of the trip. We flew to Izmir from Istanbul and met the driver who drove us to Ephesus. Our tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She took us to the House of Mary and the Ephesus ruins. We had a delicious lunch. After lunch however, we drove by some sites that were under repair. I felt like the tour was misleading and could have updated their schedule to include some other sites. The last part of the day, we went to a leather factory where I thought we would be learning how leather is made but instead, it turned out to be a very bizarre “runway” show and following that, we were taken to an area where they were selling overpriced leather goods for $500 USD+. Later, We were dropped off at a 3 star hotel which wasn’t anything impressive but the views were very nice. The next day, we drove to Pamukkale from Ephesus and had a different tour guide and driver. Pamukkale was not as impressive as it seemed on social media. We were short on time so we didn’t see much on the second day of our tour. We did have a nice buffet lunch however. Overall, we were not that impressed with this tour and would not recommend. It was not worth the money we spent.

Response from the operator: Dear Sara, Thank you very much for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience. There is nothing hidden in our itineraries. It is clearly stated all the Hotels, Tours, Flight Timings, visits, and local workshops, etc... Local Workshops is entirely optional. For those who wish to experience this cultural activity, we recommend the local workshop upon their request and ensure they have the opportunity to experience it. In our discussion with your guide, he mentioned that you wanted to learn about the Leathers, and he accordingly recommended a place for that. We want to make it clear that every traveler is unique, with different desires, different perspectives, and different preferences. If you review all our comments, you will see that hundreds, even thousands, of travelers have praised the Turkish Leathers. The fact that thousands of people loved it does not mean you have to love it too. Or the fact that they did not find it to be a hard sale does not mean you have to think the same way. However, it is strange to blame us and punish us with a bad review for this. After all, you have booked a travel package that specifies all inclusions & exclusions. And, we exactly brought everything as correct as written on the itinerary. What exactly is the mistake we made here? Best regards, Kadir K

    Smooth and easy tour

Our family of 4 had an amazing experience with this tour company. We generally do not do tours however arranging the logistics of a visit to Ephesus and Pamukkale in 2 days by ourselves was too difficult. Everything was smooth starting from communication with Ismail to book the tour, he was very responsive on WhatsApp as well as email. When the tour started, our driver was extremely punctual arriving at 4am on the dot, and was skillful with navigating the roads throughout the tour. Our first day in Ephesus was unforgettable with Burga our tour guide who was very knowledgeable and personable. We ended the day in Kusadasi which surprised us as it was a very idyllic seaside town frequented by cruise shippers as well as locals. We spent our free time by the sea and soaking up some sun, then finished with a lovely seafood dinner (not included) while watching the sunset. Our second day started with a drive to Pamukkale with Fatima our guide, who skillfully arranged it such that we would be able to visit both the lunch spot and Pamukkale before the crowds came. She gave us good advice to avoid the Antique/Cleopatra pool as it was the day before the pool water gets changed and the water was very dirty. We also had the option for visiting some factories for leather goods and onyx (these were opt in). They were not pushy and you don't have to buy anything if you don't want to. They also gave us the option to skip the visit and spend our free time instead which was appreciated! Thank you to Best Turkey Tour and our guides Burga and Fatima for the amazing and professional trip!

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you very much for sharing travel experience you had with us. Our company values put customer satisfaction as top priority and we are committed to our customers. We look forward to serving you again. Best Wishes Fatima& Ismail

Spectacular experience & In good hands

My twin brother and his wife from South Africa and I embarked on a journey to see the city of Ephesus for ourselves and then we went onto Pergamon ending at the location where St Philip was martyred, Pamukkale. I can definitely recommend using Iglesias Tour company as it is always a bit scary to select a touring company. All the arrangements went off perfectly and the our experienced Mr Ercument, English speaking tour guide, communicated interesting historical information about the various locations. My mother will be travelling to Turkey in Sep-22 and will also be using Iglesias Tours along with her sister and brother in-law from Australia. After completing my trip using Iglesias Tours, I informed my mother that there is no need to worry about your trip because, " You will be in good hands" with Iglesias Tours. Travel, times, food, laughs are all expertly arranged and guaranteed. Further to the excellent Touring company the locations especially Ephesus were absolutely amazing to behold, the scale and structures' building detail and materials used makes one wonder if our Civil & structural engineers should be embarrassed. What a impressive historic monuments of our ancestors and how impressive they really were and seeing the very places I had heard about and read about in the Bible was really impactful. I wish you all an enjoyable time on your holiday/tour plans.

2 Days Ephesus and Pamukkale Tours from Istanbul: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Istanbul.

How much does 2 Days Ephesus and Pamukkale Tours from Istanbul cost?

    +

Prices start at $225 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Istanbul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 2 Days Ephesus and Pamukkale Tours from Istanbul take?

    +

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Istanbul is not rushed.

Is 2 Days Ephesus and Pamukkale Tours from Istanbul worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 65 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Istanbul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 2 Days Ephesus and Pamukkale Tours from Istanbul?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 2 Days Ephesus and Pamukkale Tours from Istanbul suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 2 Days Ephesus and Pamukkale Tours from Istanbul?

    +

Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Istanbul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Istanbul and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 2 Days Ephesus and Pamukkale Tours from Istanbul start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Istanbul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Istanbul?

    +

On Outty we rank every Istanbul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour, Istanbul Luxury Bosphorus Yacht Cruise with Asian Side Stop, ISTANBUL BEST: Iconic Landmarks Full Day PRIVATE Guided City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Istanbul?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Istanbul?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
