The most amazing trip ever! Thank you Obed!

Our 2-day safari in Amboseli National Park was absolutely unforgettable, and that is largely thanks to our incredible guide, Obed. From the moment we met him, he was so friendly, kind, and professional, and he made us feel completely safe and at ease throughout the entire trip. Everything was arranged seamlessly by Tim, who we were recommend to by a work colleague, and Obed truly brought the whole experience to life. His knowledge of the wildlife and the park is outstanding, and he went above and beyond every single day to make sure we had the best possible experience. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his passion really shone through. It was also fantastic having the safari as a private tour. The van was very comfortable, and we loved being able to move around between seats depending on the views—this made such a difference during game drives and allowed us to fully enjoy every sighting. The accommodation at Oilepo Lodge was included as part of the package and was absolutely phenomenal. Obed made sure we were well looked after at all times. Our room had an incredible view of Mount Kilimanjaro, which was simply breathtaking to wake up to. We enjoyed delicious three-courses for all meals, and the restaurant overlooks a watering hole—watching elephants come down for a mud bath was just magical. The safari itself was beyond anything we could have imagined. We went on a sunset game drive as well as a full day exploring the park, and Obed made sure we saw as much as possible. The elephants were a true highlight, especially with Kilimanjaro in the background, and we were incredibly lucky to spot a lion (which is rare in Amboseli!) and even witness a cheetah hunting—an unforgettable experience. Obed truly made this trip what it was. His warmth, expertise, and dedication set him apart, and we honestly couldn’t recommend him more highly. We will be recommending him to anyone we know visiting Kenya—he is simply the best at what he does. We were genuinely so sad to leave, and now that we’re home we already miss it so much—it was truly the best trip ever. We wish we could do it all over again and it’s an experience we will never forget.

Response from the operator: Were very delighted and greatful you shared such a wonderful review with guide Obed and Tim and we highly appreciate booking with us and glad a wonderful experience. Many thanks indeed.

Amazing

We recommend Obed because we really enjoyed our time with him. He is calm, very professional, and humble, and he doesn’t overcharge. He also speaks very good English, so communication was easy and very informative all the way to Amboseli. We booked him from Nairobi for three days, and when we return to Nairobi, we will only use him.

Response from the operator: We truly appreciate and delighted reviewing and booking with us, Many thanks for your recommendation of Guide Obed. Your most welcome to Kenya for another Safari.

The fascinating scenes of the wild woods.. The breathtaking moment of being so close to a big elephant.

The views were amazing we were able to see herds of elephants at close range, pride of lions, giraffes, zebras... We were privileged to have a very knowledgeable and efficient tour guide "Obed" who made sure we didn't miss any amazing scenery. Would surely recommend him again for more trips.

Response from the operator: We're greatful and delighted you booked with us, many thanks indeed for sharing your review.

2 Days at Amboseli National park: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nairobi.

How much does 2 Days at Amboseli National park cost?

+

Prices start at $140 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nairobi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 2 Days at Amboseli National park take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nairobi is not rushed.

Is 2 Days at Amboseli National park worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nairobi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 2 Days at Amboseli National park?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 2 Days at Amboseli National park suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 2 Days at Amboseli National park?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nairobi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nairobi and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 2 Days at Amboseli National park start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nairobi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nairobi?

+

On Outty we rank every Nairobi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 days group joining safari to Maasai Mara with a Land Cruiser Jeep, 1 Day trip to Hells Gate and optional Lake Naivasha From Nairobi, Nairobi Masai village Day Tour Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nairobi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nairobi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
