UNESCO sites
We saw all except Bhakatapor UNESCO sites with great efficiency. Our guide Shiva was very sensitive to the amount of detail we were able to absorb and answered questions very ably and willing. I had seen Patan Durbar Square probably 4 times before and was not prepared to see the level of destruction. Instead of entering the Square from any of its picturesque entry points, we walked for 10 minutes thru a back alley of garbage. For the convenience of the driver! This approach persisted despite my saying that the driver comes to us not the opposite. The vehicle was shabby and no water was provided for a 2 day excursion. Given the state of road conditions, a fourwheel drive is essential . The guide and driver were prompt and friendly. At the end of the second day, we went for a short walk to a town near Namobuddha instead of going to Bhakatapor. We were not fully aware of this last minute option which we agreed to without full discussion. The walk proved to be not a forest walk but a walk on a back road to the small town nearby. It was garbage lined and steep and alittle slippery. The best part was a stop at a town tea shop which we initiated and ordered our own tea, etc. If this is a regular option, the path conditions should be improved. I have rated the attractions as excellent but the specific tour conditions were less than optimal. I feel that Liberty itself provided excellent service and was possibly too confident in advance.
Response from the operator: Dear Joyce Yu, Thank you for mix type of valuable feedback, words of praise, and given us a chance to improve. We extend our sincerest apologies for the negative experience because of road condition and pollution. We are continuously raising our voice for better road condition to the tourism governing body of Nepal. Regarding some points you mentioned, we have clearly mentioned inclusion and exclusion (no drinks) for this tour. Depending upon your group size, we arranged Hiace for this tour which is the best available option in Nepal. Bhaktapur and Patan are not included in this 2 day tour. I am pretty sure you visited Panauti and Namobuddha on day 2 as per the itinerary you booked. Lastly, thank you once so much once again for choosing us and giving us the opportunity to serve you. Regards,

+

How far in advance should I book 2 Day Kathmandu Sightseeing with Panauti, Namobuddha Tour from Kathmandu?
+
Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
