The COMPLETE Romania and Moldova trip, with a day trip to Transnistria
I had a phenomenal trip with Nicholas. My goal with my trip was to feel like I hadn’t missed anything of note in Moldova and Romania and he was great at being flexible and creating a custom itinerary that worked with exactly what I wanted so that I left satisfied I’d done everything I wanted. From the time I was picked up at the airport to the time I was dropped off, everything was planned, well-timed and interesting. He put together an excellent itinerary, was very friendly, and very knowledgeable about history, customs and was always checking that the daily plan worked, with a flexible approach that ensured we could make the most of each day. I have travelled with many private guides in many countries and this trip was a great one. Highlights included the family beekeeping operation, the Transformigation Highway, the Merry Graveyard, the Danube Delta, the underground wine cellars in Moldova, the pelicans and shipwrecks off the coast of Sulina, the Salt Mines and the Memorial to the Victims of Communism and to the Resistance. I would definitely recommend Nicholas and am very pleased with how easy he made the trip, adding a very personal touch and affable approach.
Response from the operator: Dear, Mr. Brent! Before I will thank you for leaving me such a wonderful review, I need to mention the big advantage regarding my job, that I have the opportunity to meet different people from whom I can learn many things. After more than two weeks together with you in Romania and Moldova, I have unintentionally adopted some values that belong to you and for which I thank you! You are a special and kind person, with correct life principles! It was a pleasure and an honor to be your tour guide in our beautiful countries :) I really enjoyed the time spent together! Thanks for your kind words and we stay in touch. Happy Holidays! Nicolas

Excellent 15 day trip through Romania and Moldova
Normally I never give 5 stars, but in this case it is more than justified! Razvan solved various unexpected problems during out trip to our full satisfaction. He is a safe en friendly driver and he has a lot of knowledge of the country and its history. His sence of humor is unbeatable, so his chess! We played several interesting chessgames during our trip. Our 15 day trip through Romania and Moldova (including a visit to Transnistria) had many highlights, We saw 7 bears driving the Transfagarasan! Further we visited beautifull castles (Corvin and Peles) many churches and monasteries (especially Densus church and Bucovina) nice places like Sighisoara and Brasov and the countryside of Maramures. Moldova and Transnistria were special, so the Danube delta. It was a varied journey through nice and interesting countries. We can recommend Razvan 100%.....do it!! Jan & Elly Netherlands

15 Days Private Tour in Romania, Moldova and Transnistria: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bucharest.
How much does 15 Days Private Tour in Romania, Moldova and Transnistria cost?
+
Prices start at $6511 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bucharest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 15 Days Private Tour in Romania, Moldova and Transnistria take?
+
Plan for about 360 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bucharest is not rushed.
Is 15 Days Private Tour in Romania, Moldova and Transnistria worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bucharest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 15 Days Private Tour in Romania, Moldova and Transnistria?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 15 Days Private Tour in Romania, Moldova and Transnistria suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 360-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 15 Days Private Tour in Romania, Moldova and Transnistria?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bucharest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bucharest and add a light layer if any part of the 360-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 15 Days Private Tour in Romania, Moldova and Transnistria start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bucharest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bucharest?
+
On Outty we rank every Bucharest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Real tour of Communism, Bucharest Highlights Walking Tour, Top Gear Road, Small-group max 7 pax with Pick-up, Transfăgărăşan. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bucharest?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bucharest?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
